Perfect :)

I love that it’s adjustable to I can’t lock it in place but still have the door open a little. I like to have my door open for some air flow when I’m working in my office down the hall but it always sketched me out that someone could come in and I wouldn’t notice. This is a perfect solution.

Does the job better than spring loaded bars

I would give this a five star rating if the mechanism didn’t occasionally slip. After adjusting to the door I had to drill and add a bolt & nut.

Keeping Mom Safe

I bought this for my 83 year-old mom's sliding door. It was pretty simple to install and it works well for her. It's not anything fancy but does the trick.

Simple added security.

Are you putting a piece of wood or metal bar in the track of your slider for added security? This is an easy upgrade. If you have basic DIY skills, you can install this bar. It folds out of the way when not in use and is more attractive than that stick or bar in the track.

Good, but needs modification

It's held up well since we installed it. Even removed it and added it when we replaced our door. However, after a couple months, the hinge got loose and it could fall down and lock the door if you were just closing it. I added a small coat hook to the very top of the door to hold it in place when it wasn't down and locked and that fixed the problem. So the package as is, 3 stars. Add something to prevent getting locked out on accident and its been solid for us.

Lack of Hinge Bracket to Facilitate Folding Into Door Jam When Not in Use

Disliked the fact that despite the feature video, the security bar does not have a hinge bracket for folding the security bar up into the door jam when not in use.

Sturdy and we certainly can't get in from the outside

Brilliant bit of kit, it is very strong at holding this sliding door closed, we've both gone outside to try and get it with the door unlocked, but this left down in locking position, we just can't, and it certainly add that piece of mind with it in, never do we go to sleep without this in the locked position

Does a fairly decent job of an extra protection for a window or sliding door.

I purchased this for our sliding glass door as we had to insert a dog door into the open space, which made it difficult to properly lock our door. Many of the securiyi bars similar to this one, were all too big for the space so this one does fit the space perfectly. It is a fairly decent product for the price, however, my one complaint is that the only directions that came with it were in French.
