I love the fit of Irish setters . I already own a pair

I will use these for a 200 archer property I work on all year long . These Irish setters Gunflint II are strictly for winter . My brown pair are for spring,summer& fall . The width & arch support in my boots are amazing I wear them every day with no problems at all . My new boots I will have to get back to you on that one !!!

Jury is still out

Until these boots are properly broken in, not sure if I like them or not. The left boot hurts my ankle. Previous Irish Setter boots took a while to break in, but these don't look like quite the same quality. I have a pair of their wingshooter boots that are great, hoping these will eventually be great too.

Tight ankle needs brake in time

Got these for the cool season. Read a few reviews speaking to tight ankle and being difficult to put on (narrow ankle). I wear a 11.5 and that is what I ordered. They fit perfectly with a little room for warm socks.. The ankle area is a bit narrow so you really need to loosen the laces and open the boot up to get foot in @ first. However I like the snug fit around the ankles as it keeps the heat in the toebox/foot area. I also suggest breaking in by wearing around the house. The ankle area fit is a bit tight and will need break in period. I put on for 30 minutes really tight day one, then over the next few days added time and cycled between lacing up really tight to lacing up loosely. After about 2 weeks feel much better with normal lace tightness. Its a bit easier to get foot in the boot after break in too. Also, I don't seem to need to tighten them up too tight as the slimmer fit in the ankle and heal seem to keep them in place and keep the heat in the foot area. they have great sole with an awesome cant (angles) that you can really feel as you hike in them. Great, grippy sole, foot and ankle support. I am really pleased with them as I got them on sale around 140.

Absolutely the best boots i've ever owned

I bought these 4 hunting seasons ago (just starting my 5th). I hunt 10/1 thru 12/31 so i get all conditions - sun, rain, sleet, snow. I followed the reviews and got 1/2 size bigger than normal, and the fit is perfect. These are by far the most comfortable boots i have ever worn. They are also very sure footed and stable. They are quite warm, so much so i don't wear them until the temps drop into the 40s or lower. The oiled leather portions of the boot are well scuffed up, but not worn. They are still waterproof, although i bought some camp dry this year just in case its needed. I replaced the laces last year. All eyelets and lace hooks are still tight and in tact. Sole shows no considerable wear, unlike my motorcycle boots which have a lot of wear, but that is because those get worn on concrete and the only concrete my hunting boots see is in my garage. If/when these ever wear out i will get another pair of the same boots if they are still available.

Great boot , must buy

I have a 400 grain pair that has lasted 7 years, I got these and they are made the same way we will just have to see if they get the same mileage. Red Wings boots you can't go wrong.

I would look at a different brand of boot before even considering these Irish Setters

Very disappointed with the fitment can't get them on at all would never even consider looking at them again very disappointed with Amazon too how to return them won't get back to me

Tough azz boots

I’m about 3 weeks in to breaking these in. So far very impressed with the stiffness and toughness. The grip on the field is great. I’ve worked building fence, hunted, general farming work and so far I really like these boots. Kind of tight to go on but once I’m inside they feel great. Reminds me of, well never mind.

Great Fit!

Keep in mind, this is an initial review after only wearing these a couple of days. Both the size and width were right on, fitting perfectly. Very comfortable to wear. I wore them at work, where I'm on my feet alot. I have had problems with plantar fasciitis in the past and I can wear these all day with no foot pain. I will edit review after wearing them hunting where I may hike 7-10 miles, and let you know what I think. These boots are a solid purchase. Update: After wearing these boots on two hunts, a total of 14 days, and hiking many miles each day, I can honestly say these boots are exceptional. First season was warm weather but they were very comfortable. Second season was very cold and snowy and my feet remained warm, dry, and comfortable with about 8" of snow on the ground and temps in the teens. These boots are true to size, and you don't have to order a size up for a good fit. A solid buy!

Très confortable

Seul petit problème est que la langue est cousue trop haut ce qui complique l'entrée et le retrait du piedé J'ai coupé de chaque côté de la langue la couture environ 3/4" et c'est maintenant parfait. Sinon, cette botte est vraiment confortable.

Good waterproof hunting boots

Good for the money, a little stiff so break them in properly before heading up a mountain! Crossed a decent stream and my feet stayed completely dry ????

Great pair of boots

Comfortable fit right away. After 15km felt like a part of my feet. No discomfort after wearing for 12 hours. Good ankle support and only slipped a few times on some very slippery rock faces. Blood washed off without leaving too much of a stain. Didn't stand in water but walked through enough to say they are pretty resistant and they were dry each morning when putting the boots back on for the days hunting. All in all a good boot, but has only been used for a 5 day hunt so far, see how it holds up in the mountains next month
