Lining dress is too short, but it's a cool dress overall

I really love this dress! When I first put it on, I was a bit alarmed because the lining dress is SHORT on me. I'm only 5'2", but I'm pear-shaped and carry a lot of weight below my waist and in my thighs, so I guess that made it ride up more than it would otherwise. I didn't think I'd be able to sit down without uh, everything being out in the open. But! I wanted to share this tip. I'd just laundered this pencil skirt, so it was sitting next to my closet, and inspiration struck! I pulled it on over the lining dress, and I think it works and makes the look work-appropriate (which it originally wasn't--too short--so, that's a win for me). I'm excited to wear this dress in cooler weather with a couple different pencil skirts in my closet to change up the look. (I did try it with some other skirts of different shapes, and it didn't look right. The stretchy pencil skirts looked best.) Fit is as expected. I normally wear a small in tops and a medium in bottoms, and I ordered a small. It's a smidge tight, but that's fine. Sleeves are a little long, but I'm short, so that's normal in my world. I like the ridges on the upper sleeves--cool detail! The fabric is pretty comfy and should be good for cooler weather. One last note... I bought my dress in late June after checking the page a few times and seeing it go in and out of stock a couple times. So, if it's showing as out of stock and you want one, I suggest checking back periodically to see if they restock, since they seem to. (I don't do reviews with pictures typically, but there's hardly any on this dress right now, so here ya go! I'm wearing a mask because covid-19 in my area has me mostly at home, so I'm not wearing makeup and didn't want to frighten anyone, and as weird as this might be, it's not as scary as my face right now. lol)

Too small for size, Fun design, soft color

Purchased 2xl in the rose pink color, it was extremely tight, could barely get it on. I wear xL-2xl, and it was still too tight on me. Love the design and color, the asymmetry is fun! But couldn’t wear it.

Lovely dress but the fit is terrible

I was so excited for this dress and don't get me wrong, the quality of it is amazing, but the fit is completely wrong. I'm pretty universally a Medium in things, and I'm short. The problem with this dress is the sizing and the length. Regarding sizing, there is no room for a chest in this dress at all. Every aspect of this dress fits except the chest area is expecting A cup at best. If your chest is A cup or smaller, this dress might work and look nice, but if you are anything above an A, I can't even say size up because then the fit everyone else would be wrong. It's just not made for chests. I was completely shocked at the lack of chest allowance. Regarding the length, I have no idea who this dress is for but as a 5 foot 3 woman, when a dress is insanely short on me, that means it's way too short. You might think the cut of this thing, with the longer outer layer, would make the under dress being short not a problem, but you'd be wrong. The whole bottom of my butt sticks out of this dress. Any slight movement, walking or bending, shifts the longer part over and exposes your whole under-butt. It's sort of insane that it's as short as it is considering I'm short. Again, quality was great, the dress feels nice, and it looks cool, but put on the sizing is just all over the place and the length isn't sufficient. I'll regrettably be returning this if I can.

Love but Disappointed

The dress runs small so I had to return the size small and exchanged it for a medium. The medium size fit perfect but he color I ordered was a gray and there was color blotchy through the dress. I was so disappointed, so I returned the exchange and decided it wasn’t meant for me to have it????

Cute but thin!

I like this dress. It's a little thinner than I would like but it looks beautiful on. The dress on the shorter side is pretty short. It does run true to size. I feel like the quality could be a little better.

Runs small

I expected the fabric and detail to be way higher quality since I am a long time customer, but it felt really cheap up close and on...definitely not worth the price tag in my opinion. The rose color was a bit of a disappointment too. I love Jonny's leather jackets that fit like a second skin. I would have liked it to be a tad longer too, the skirt part covered my ass but if I bend over, it feels too short. I am normally a size small, so getting the Medium I didn't think I'd have any problems with this. I will hesitate to buy clothing online for this reason.

Didn't Make The Cut

Well, after waiting for over two months since I ordered it, my dress finally arrived. I like the sleeves, and that is all the positive I can offer. The short part of the dress is extremely short. Like barely even tunic length. The long part of the dress that shows in the photos to go almost all the way around does not at all. It covers the back and maybe half of the side of one thigh. And the overall fit runs very small. I am so disappointed to have finally been able to snag one of the pieces I liked before it sold out (since the show advertised that they went on sale after the episodes aired on fridays but then started airing 1 to 2 episodes on Thursdays without updating that message so many of us just flat missed out!), especially after an incredibly long wait. Seriously. YOU DID NOT MAKE THE CUT!

Too small

This dress is too small. I've ordered several other MTC dresses in medium and they all fit perfectly. This one I could not get over my head.
