These shoes are beautiful, and I could tell they _would_ have been comfortable, too, if this Amazon listing had mentioned the caveat that you'll find on the brand's official website: "Fit Tip: Runs Small, Size Up A Half Size." I typically wear a US9/EU40 and this pair is marked 9/39 which clued me in that there might be a problem. I can get my foot in (and feel that cushiony footbed) but my toes are squashed at the front. No time to exchange before my event so I'll make do with something more boring. :(
