great value, sturdy construction and well finished for price

My first photo is for the people who complain about water pressure- skip to the end for that! Bought this faucet to replace a very similar Perrin&Rowe that came with our house but very quickly literally split open at the spout. We wanted the same style and this fit the bill at 1/10th of the cost! Installation was tricky- it didn't occur to me that the faucets would be assigned left and right (or course they are, but it wasn't mentioned in the instructions, which are pretty lackluster in general, to be honest), so we had to switch them when the faucet didn't work right at all. I haven't installed many faucets but this one did seem a little tedious by comparison, but ultimately fine. The main complaint I see him other reviews is the water pressure. If you screw the bottom off the spout, pull out the whole stack of things and then replace everything except the little white plastic thing in my photo, you will have full power. Lastly, we love that the spigot swings back and forth, you can wash your face without bumping your forehead. Recommend!

Most of your questions are premature.

Kingston Lavatory Faucet: Overall rating, four stars. One star less because the faucet makes a hissing sound when turned off. East to install? Don't know, a plumber did the work. Value for the money? Won't know until some time to come. Sturdiness? Won't know until I used it for some time. Beautiful!

Love this faucet! Great finish to our bathroom remodel. Really like the quality of Kingston Brass. Contactor commented positively on the quality as well. Ordering same faucet in different finish for 2nd bathroom. Already ordered a slightly model of Kingston Brass faucet in another finish for a 3rd bathroom. I am sold on the quality of these faucets.

Very pretty faucet

This is a really pretty faucet and matches with my vintage theme, however the knobs have to be turned at least a quarter turn before water comes out. Also they have to be fully open to get a moderate stream of water so not much water pressure and a bit on a whiny sound when water is on. Plumber said that is how they are designed and water pressure can’t be increased so that part is disappointing.

Poor quality material, and/or quality control from the manufacture "Kingston Brass"

On October 24, 2022, I bought the “Kingston Brass KB1972PL Heritage Widespread Lavatory Faucet with Porcelain Lever Handle, Polished Brass." I did the installation myself the first week of November, and last week Mach 10, 2023 I discovered water leaking from under the lavatory. (Just 4 months later) I found that the outlet port of the hot valve assembly was broken (photo attached). I understand I’m out of warranty, but you need to know that this is happening and is not right! Kingston Brass needs to improve the material's quality, its quality control, and to give at least a year warranty.

Looks aren't everything

This item looks just like we wanted it to, it's feels sturdy and looks great in our vintage bathroom remodel. However, the performance is not up to expectations. The first problem we had was with quality control, there was a bit of manufacturing debris in the faucet when it was first installed that restricted the waterflow to a trickle at best. Our plumber showed us the tiny object he found behind the screen and the flow did improve after removing it, but the water pressure in this faucet is not sufficient. I called Kingston Brass customer support and they instructed me on how to modify it to get a satisfactory amount of water pressure, I'm hoping that will help because the way it comes is barely enough to rinse the toothpaste off your toothbrush. The representative actually dropped the call when I told him that BOTH of the faucets (sink and tub that we bought to match) we purchased required repair and/or replacement parts and that we have had to pay additional plumbers fees as a result. I am very leary about the quality control based on my experience. We will buy products made in the USA when we remodel our other 3 bathrooms and when we have to replace these.

Love this so much!! I’m sooo happy with it. Pretty easy to install but it has a weird stopper in it that makes the water trickle out. Not sure if this is to conserve water but I removed it and it’s perfect!
