New beginnings

I have been doing electrical work for over 30 years and this has been one of the best tools for me in a long time. No more stripping of screws. The feel of the tool is top quality. It is a precise fit to the screw.

These drivers feature the same driver-head you will pay much-more for if you buy another brand. I have a lot of Klein tools, and none of them ever fail to perform with excellence when used as intended.

Electrician’s Friend

Many electrical items, outlets, boxes and such, have combination screws. Combination means a square socket with two flat blade slots coming out. This set is designed to drive screws with a #1 or #2 square in the middle and they work like a charm. Unfortunately, not all electrical screws are combination square, as some older appliances have a Philips in the center. I’ve had good luck with Klein tools and I really appreciate the cushioned grip that allows more tightening torque. A nice addition to the tool box that oddly does not seem to be found in most hardware stores.

These feel great in the hand

These are built like the typical Klein screwdriver and are super comfortable to use. This being said, the #1 does seem to want to cam out of the screw head and I was honestly better off using a #1 square drive bit in a bit holder. The #2 driver seems to work better, but the screws for that are bigger anyway so you get a better bite. Not sure that they are worth the cost, but they are a nice option to have.

Fits receptacle screws, perfectly!

I broke one Wyze outlet by pushing on the screw too hard with a Phillips head screwdriver to loosen it. I found that a flathead screwdriver gripped better, not still not great. These combination tip screwdrivers allow for turning a tight screws without too much pushing into the screws.

These were good quality screwdrivers that worked well for the project we needed them for. No complaints.

These fit well, but why do they need to exist.

I don't know why this driver shape needs to exist. The electrical recepticals and fixtures should just be manufactured with square drive fasteners. That said, the #1 has fit my recepticals very well. I wish all Klein screwdrivers (especially these) had the wire bending stud on them.

These are great drivers for what they are designed for.

Great drivers, they hold the slot on the screw very snugly helps to keep the driver steady.

Specialized but very handy

These screwdrivers are for specialized applications involving screw heads referred to by various names, like "combo tip" from Klein. They are most often used for applications involving electrical connections, and the screws on electrical boxes, etc... In any case, Klein makes excellent tools, and while more expensive than some other brands, they are very well made. Electrical contractors would most benefit from these tools when doing lots of wiring connections. I like them as I do enough wiring that they are helpful as part of my tool kit.

Lacks manufacturing quality and precision

Returned. Quite dissapointed since the quality was definitely not up to the name tag especially the plastic rubber moldings which showed shiftings like plastic items bought at a dollar store. The combo head doesn't fit well in a standard outlet screw (which is the purpose of the purchase) . This is the second item I'm returning out of 4 KLEIN TOOLS purchases in the past 3 months. Both showed lack of manufacturing precision and obviously would have not passed a professional electrician's quality control test. I am starting to wonder if KLEIN is just simply using Amazon's selling channels in order to sell their B-quality tools to DIYers at a lower cost but much higher profit margins than if they did scrapped them since pros would definitely buy them.

As expected these screw drivers are wonderful. If you understand what the combo screw head is and you use these combo screw drivers, you will discover screw fastener heaven. The best pair of screw drivers EVER for working with electrical devices and electrical panels. Made by the legend Klein.
