Worked as intended
I moved into a house that had a 250 gallon indoor koi pond, and I'm completely new to caring for fish. I bought a pond vacuum and figured I'd vacuum it out every spring, and learned when my fish stopped eating that it needs to be done much more often. I cycled half of the water out and added conditioner and stress zyme and tested with a freshwater kit (I should've tested before I cycled it too, but I didn't). After cycling it still tested at .25 ammonia for 3 days in a row, so I added the recommended dose of AmQuel and added an ammonia alert card to the tank, and the levels have tested safe every day since - and after 5 more days now, today the fish have started to come back out and get food from me! I will be cycling and vacuuming the tank much more often, and keeping an ammonia alert card in the tank that I can check daily. I'm still learning, but glad that my big buddy Iceman the Koi and Viper and Jester, the fan tailed goldfish, are hearty enough to stick with me. Now - does it ever get any easier to tell yellow from yellow-green? I'm seeing it in my nightmares!

Good for watering houseplants, as well.
Prior to purchasing, I contacted Kordon, to see if the AmQuel can also be used for binding chloramines and chlorine for use in watering house plants. They declined to comment, since their speciality is the safety of aquatic animals and plants, but so far I am extremely satisfied using it on my bonsai, violets and other houseplants, which after a month of use, show absolutely no ill-effects. I am using a 3ml glass pipette, to cure the water, adding 10 drops per gallon (as suggested by the directions) and the smell of chlorine, immediately dissipates when the AmQuel is added. While I don't mind the hardness of our water, the chlorine or chloramines, are certainly not good for plants and this product seems to solve that problem. EDIT: January 13, 2018 - Have been using the Amquel now, for one year and can firmly state, this is 100% safe for use on houseplants.

Very good stuff for rendering Chloramines harmless until the filter can due its thing.
I’ve been using this in conjunction with the Aquanova plus and my water seems to not look as dirty or as slimy than it did with prime and my fish (freshwater) have been way more calm with this being used in my water changes . My tap has high ammonia and nitrates from chloramines . Even my plants have looked better ( which could be to the new root tabs) . Over all I’m very happy with this product . If you ship fish this stuff is highly recommend by fish breeders for shipping.

Good value
The bottle will last me a long time for several water changes. The measure on the cap makes it easy to treat the water properly.
