Great teaching aid!
Makes the concepts simple and easy to visualize. Got this for our oldest grandchild but will 'pass it down' to the rest as the reach the same age. Wish we'd had this for our own kids!

Good but the numbers were come off
It has both decimal numbers and fractions unlike other cheaper ones. However, these numbers on some of them were come off.

Numbers on back of 100% block
There is a weird assortment of numbers on the back of the large 100% / 1.0 block. The numbers appear to be a batch number or serial number. This should not be on a mathematical educational tool teaching numbers on the blocks. Adding these extra numbers have the potential to be very confusing to kids and I will most likely need to cover them up with a sticker or tape. Otherwise, the item is great. BTW - we also used them on a balance scale to show equal amounts. They worked pretty well for an item not designed to have equivalent weights.

Expert Tutor-Approved!
These are an essential learning tool for any 4th or 5th grader, and for some 3rd and 6th graders, too. I have been an educator my whole career, and I specialize in preparing children for the ISEE/SSAT and/or other standardized exams at this level. I also work with children to support their regular academic work, whether it's common core or a different curriculum. Any 4th or 5th grader is working with fractions and decimals, and these are perfect for helping them make real sense of the concepts. I often start by handing a student the 1/2 cube, and then asking the student to find me as many other examples of fractions that are equivalent. The student will line up the various pieces and show me 2/4, 3/6, 4/8, 5/10, and 6/12. Then we will talk about what it might be if we had fraction cubes of 14ths or 20ths to show that any fraction equivalent to 1/2 has the relationship of the numerator being half the denominator. When adding and subtracting mixed numbers, and when converting mixed numbers and improper fractions, it's really helpful to have 2 sets of these, so you can show numbers that go above 1. Kids like handling the cubes, as they are colorful and interlocking, and even when they are just "playing" with them, they are likely still learning. A thorough understanding of fractions and decimals is so critical to learning percentages and other harder concepts in 6th grade, and these cubes are perfect for securing these foundational topics.

Loved these! Would only make one addition.
Am happy I picked these up when they briefly were on sale on Prime Day. These are great! A perfect visual and tactile representation of fractions and decimals - easy to compare with each other and get a better grasp on a too-often difficult to understand concept. The only thing I would add to the 1 column: 1 represented as a fraction (1/1). This is important so students understand that even whole numbers can be written in fraction form for when they move into mixed numbers and further, into making whole numbers into fractions to solve more complicated arithmetic. Not a deal breaker though! Easy enough just to write it on there with a sharpie. Would definitely purchase again.

Fabulous tool for hands-on learning of fractions!
Great product for helping elementary and middle school students understand fractions, decimals, and percents. Especially good for helping understanding of the relation between multiple fractions (1/3 and 2/6 for example). Great for kids who are hands-on or visual learners. I used it recently with my sixth grade students in a lesson on adding fractions with different denominators and it really helped them to be able to see the relative sizes of the fractions. Great tool. My one complaint is that the set doesn’t come with a base. Since the blocks are all interlocking ;kind of like LEGO’s) it would really help if there was a base that you could put different towers into so you could easily compare the heights.

This set has been such a huge tool to help with doing our math concepts. We use a math program that has something similar that comes with it but I much prefer this set so we use these instead. These are sturdy snap together cubes that give dimension to hard to grasp math concepts and for some of my kids it has been so much easier for them using this set and once they mastered the ideas they have been doing great with other concepts. There are 51 high quality cubes with clear markings and a teachers guide comes with in this set. Would highly recommend to anyone who is struggling. I also like how this set has grown with our kids. Bought it when they were in 1st and have used it all the way up through 5th so far to help guide them as they learn each new concept.

Great educational toy and lot of fun!
My 5 years old, loving math son got it for his 5th birthday. Two months later he has no problems with any fractions, up to 1/12th. Very nice educational toy.

Helpful and engaging
A great manipulative for introducing concepts of fractions, percentages and decimals. Highly recommend this paired with the Usbourne lift-the-flap book on the same topic!

I would give these 5 star, but for some ...
I would give these 5 star, but for some reason de numbers are upside down. I can obviously still use them, but they sort of woble at the jase because it's not flat.
