DID I GET A DEFECTIVE ONE?
Consciot 12W LED Desk Lamp With USB Charging Port, 5 Lighting Modes 7 Brightness Levels…. I bought this desk lamp to replace another one purchased in the last yr or so. It wasn’t what I wanted when I bought it, but was as close as I could get when my older one died. I thought this one might be the answer for me so although I have a recent purchase, I decided to go for it. I use this light fixture as a bed side lamp. I wanted one that would swivel both vertically and horizontal— that is, both the height arm and the lamp arm, swivel, as well as, bend to various positions. Well…… this one does swivel—IF YOU HAVE THE STRENGTH THAT IS! I kept trying to turn the vertical arm; it was so tight it took all my strength. Getting leverage was almost impossible. I had just removed it from the box and was afraid I’d bang the light head and break it before ever using the lamp. It comes fully assembled—you only need to attach the electrical cord. Finally, I gave it to my brother and asked him to see if he could loosed it up a little bit for me. He too found it hard to swivel but twisted/swiveled it repeatedly for a few minutes. It didn’t loosen up at all. The horizontal or light arm, is fine. I can easily swivel it to what ever position I want. I’m surprised no one commented on this in their reviews, which I always check before buying something. Had I seen this mentioned a few times, I would have passed on buying this lamp. Maybe I simply got one that was off a little. There is no way to adjust the tightness, other than loosening with use—if it will. It had probably a yr’s, or two or three yrs. worth of it and it didn’t get any easier. Not happy about that! Now, if using on a desk, once in position it probably just stays there and is fine. Howevr, that’s not how I use it. It’s on a bed-side table. The table top is lower than the bed with a foam mattress topper added to the mattress. That puts the lamp base below the bed as well, and that’s where the controls are— they are on the top surface of the flat base like many of the newer lamps of this style. I’m disabled and practically live in my bed. I work on my computer here; I read here; I watch TV here. I can’t see the controls even now, sitting up in the middle of my bed. I can’t reach them either. When I’m reading in bed, I’d be lying down and that would make it even more difficult to turn on or off or adjust the light level. Again, sitting on a desk, it’s probably very convenient and would be easily seen and reached. I prefer the lighting control raised a little, located on the vertical arm. I haven’t gone through all the lighting modes yet. I plugged it in, and turned it on. I swiped up and down the density or brightness control, saw it gets very bright, and settled on one good for now, a cloudy, dark afternoon. I have one other comment…. charge me + $1-$2.00 more if you must, and make the electrical cord another foot or two longer. If you have too much cord, you can adjust and tie up the extra..if you don’t have enough...... too bad! I even tried to use the cord that came with my other lamp but the round plug wouldn’t fit. I ended up having to move and then re-configure my tower surge protector so I could plug this lamp in. That pretty much covers my cons. The pro’s are all known: multiple lighting modes and brightness or density settings, as well as, a USB C port. It supposedly swivels and allows for adjustments every which way—except you have to really work at it to get the vertical arm to swivel. The base is well weighted so the lamp is stable. I have no fear of it toppling over—except perhaps as I struggle to swivel the vertical arm. I guess I’ll keep this one since I’ve already packed up my other one and moved it into storage, but I’m not happy. Because of how I’ll use this, I need to be able to swivel it without sitting up, moving to the side of my bed and fighting with it, hoping I don’t knock over a drink or knock something else off my bed-side table in the struggle. Other than that—it’s really a good lamp—just not ideal for me. It’s too bad the original one in this style isn’t available and hasn’t been for a few yrs. It was perfect for me. The controls were on the vertical arm, both arms swiveled easily and the lighting, although only one mode, had adequate dimming > brightness controls. It was durable, lasting about ?? … 8-10 + yrs. I would have just bought another one exactly like it. Oh well……..

Fantastic!
This lamp is perfect! Brightness can be adjusted, as can the color (white light, or a calmer tone), there is a timer, and the lamp is adjustable. So many options, and perfect for my office to turn off the annoying overhead lights, and just us this over my computer monitors. So glad I shopped until I found this brand/model!

It works great and does its job. The product is well built but it seems like you could break it if you're too rough while rotating the lamp. No complaints though.

This lamp is perfect. Low light to high light easy, and functional. The USB ports are so perfect and placed appropriately. I bought a second lamp because this first was so nice.

This light works great
There are a bunch of options with this light between bright light, to mellow yellowish and everywhere in between, plus you get to choose bright, to dim. The different angles you can use this at also is very nice. It folds up very well also so it does not take up much room when not in use or in transportation. It does get a little warm so I would be careful when turning it off if you are going to try and fold it up right away.

Good lamp, good price, happy with my purchase
Product is exactly as advertised. It's nicely designed and has a sleek, handsome, modern look. A blue dot of light helps one find the on/off switch in the dark. The lamp can pivot and swing every-which-way, making it simple to direct the light where you want it. The lamp feels substantial and solid: it is NOT heavy, but it IS well-weighted and well-balanced. The base is JUST heavy enough, and the arm is well-designed for ease of articulation; as a result, the lamp feels quite stable (another smart design choice helps here: there are six pads/feet under the base). On two points only do I feel less than satisfied with the lamp. (1) I wish its light was brighter at the brightest setting (NOT a fault of the seller or website description, I knew what I was getting, I just wish that they made a brighter version). (2) Scrolling though the light-temperature options is a little confusing and tedious because of the curious way it's set up. Repeated pressing of one button changes the setting, but instead of going through each of the five choices and re-starting the sequence, one has to range forward and back through the choices to return to the starting point. For example, instead of 1-2-3-4-5. 1-2-3-4-5. 1-2-3-4-5. Etc. OR Warmest-warm-neutral-cool-coolest. Warmest-warm-neutral-cool-coolest. Etc. the lamp's "Mode" button scrolls through the options like this: Warmest-warm-neutral-cool-coolest-cool-neutral-warm-warmest-warm-neutral-cool-coolest-cool... OR 1-2-3-4-5-4-3-2-1-2-3-4-5-4... which makes for a lot of button presses. All things considered though, this is a minor annoyance and really shouldn't keep anyone who's interested from buying this lamp. In fact, I'm considering purchasing a second one.

Muy buena compra. el brazo se mueve arriba, abajo y a los lados, así que controlas bien la dirección de la luz. Me gusta que puedas graduar la intensidad de la luz, tiene siete intensidades! También tiene tipos de luz, como cálida, fría, etcétera (tibia? ja). El timer es interesante, pues de pronto uno piensa para qué va a querer uno que se apague la luz en x tiempo, pero sí que sirve, sobre todo si sabes que en un breve tiempo te vas a quedar dormido. Se calienta en las ultimas dos intensidades.
Tiene 7 niveles de brillo pero la cabeza se calienta muchísimo en la última y penúltima intensidad. Estaba indecisa en si deberia regresarla pero escribi a consciot y el mismo dia me respondieron indicando que es normal que esa parte se caliente y no afecta a la durabilidad de los leds. La luz es muy nitida, la compare' con otras lámparas led y pareciera que las otras tuvieran una pantalla que no deja pasar bien la luz. Por lo que el CRI o IRC de 95 parece ser real, los colores se ven mas vivos y puedes ver mas detalles. Es la unica lampara en ese precio con alto IRC que encontré. Está muy bonita, muy practica, la base es estable, el cordón está bien planeado. Me gusta que tiene un adaptador y no tengo que usar mi escasas colecciones usb.

Excelente producto ...
La verdad la lámpara superó mis expectativas. Sencilla, práctica. Bastante útil con todas sus características de brillo e iluminación. También muy útil su puerto USB para cargar móviles ( yo lo he usado para cargar unos audífonos Bluetooth ). Me gusta mucho el que pueda moverse el brazo para diferentes ángulos y que pueda programarse para que se apague a los 30 o 60 min así como que tenga el delay de apagado. Llegó antes del tiempo programado. Muy satisfecho y altamente recomendable.
