Perfect for "ON" indication

The build quality of this switch is very high. I connected this switch to an outlet located in another room which is connected to my air compressor. When I switch it on, the light in the switch comes on and is bright enough for me to see in my lighted shop. When I close up shop, I turn out the lights and look across the room to see if this switch is lighted. If it is, then I know I forgot to turn off the compressor. This procedure prevents me from forgetting to turn off the compressor and it waking up the neighbors at night. This switch is a double-poll to make the light work properly (on for on, and off for off). Directions did not come with the switch and there is not much for online help. The screw colors are black and brass; no silver screws. The back of the switch says where the wires go which is LINE and LOAD. Pay attention to this to prevent electrocuting yourself or damaging something.

Hard to find

I searched for an on-indicator light switch in local and big-box stores with no luck. I was told "they aren't made anymore." Thanks to amazon I was able to order this switch for the electric water heater in my 2nd home, thereby saving electricity and knowing if it was off or on at a glance.

Great Switch

I needed a switch for my home air compressor that would alert me when the system was on so I can avoid the compressor turning on in the middle of the night. The switch works great the red LED is bright and reminds me the compressor is on and to turn it off. So far a great product.

Works Great for My 240 Volt Workshop Heater!

I bought this for a 240V workshop heater (two 120V hot wires). Works great, and the bright red light reminds me to turn off the heater when I leave. This switch is more expensive than a regular one, but I would spend more on electricity by leaving the heater on overnight a few times (or burning down my workshop!). Love this switch.
