Good for a 14' jonboat
This is a very basic drift sock. I bought the 24" version for my 14' jonboat. I wouldn't recommend anything smaller. Works well, the only recommendations I would have is a drawstring at the exit end of the sock to add adjustability and I also zip tied a piece of foam pipe wrap around one of the sock straps, to keep it from sinking when not in motion. This also stops it from twisting. Some higher priced socks have a small flotation foam piece embedded in the sock.

Well made and works to slow boat drift.
Much better quality than last cheap one I owned. Bit harder to deploy but works better to slow boat and stays open without twisting lines. I like the flotation sewn into the top of the bag and the bouy float on the tow line. Could use a heavier trip line than the thin cord included. Overall very impressed with the quality and hopefully will last longer than the 10 years I got out of the prior cheap one.

These get the job done.
Perfect for my 16 1/2 foot boat. Boat handling is improved and will slow you down for a controlled drift.

Sizing for Catfish Guys Drifting
So I have zero complaints about the quality of this stock, and to be honest, you're not going to find a better deal. I wanted to share my results to help others. I bought the 54“ to use for drifting. Wind was around 8 to 10MPH. My boat is an 18ft CC, 2200lbs loaded, and has a T Top. A single sock slowed my drift to 1.3 to .9 mph. I prefer to drift around .4 to .2mph. I'll be buying a second and still come out at a third of the price for a custom sock. Unless you're in a low pro boat like a jon I'd advise picking up two. You can always just toss one if you don't need both.

Needs a external strap to pull to empty bag.
Works great. Opens quickly. Needs a strap attached to top and bottom of bag to help empty the bag. Recommend buying float accessory as bag will sink at slower drift speeds.

Good To Go
Best purchase I’ve made in a while..... I like that this sock is stiff and has some weight to it, so I can throw it off the back of the boat and more or less forget about it. It starts sinking and filling pretty much immediately and is easy to retrieve via the dump line. For my purposes, I use an 8’ rope with snap links on each end and a loop tied in the middle of the rope. I attach the snap links to the transom eyes on the boat then attach the drift sock harness to the loop on the rope via another snap link. This allows me to keep the sock clear of the motor and centered on the back of the boat. In winds of 15-20 mph, my 16’ fiberglass center console maintains a perfect .4-.6 mph drift speed with a single 54” sock.

Exactly what I wanted
Well made. Easy to rig. Exactly what I was looking for and the price is reasonable. Works as advertised.

Excellent price and quality should last a while
This thing is HUGE and I didn't realize how big it is till I opened it . I ordered this for my 21-ft mako center console which I got to try out yesterday . It works perfect for what I need which is to slow me down while I'm drifting. it cuts my speed down to half and allows my bait to stay in the zone longer. It is rated for 21 ft boat but I think it can hold a much bigger boat just fine depending on where you tie it up .. just don't forget to bring it in before you get on your way that's how I lost my last one

Love it.
This drift sock is awsome. I have a 17ft boat and this worked like a charm. Heavy duty materials, this seems really well made.

Excellent drift sock in heavy winds!
Overall I am very satisfied with the Lindy Drift Control Magnum 60" drift sock. It came with the harness and float attachment as well. The only thing that I was not happy with was the fact that some of the bright orange paint from the styro-foam float transferred to the drift sock and harness (which does not impact the socks' performance however from a cosmetic perspective it is not very pleasing to look at).

This thing WORKS!
Bought the 48" and it slowed my boat right down to 1.5mph... without the sock, the slowest I could get was 3.3mph
