My 2 yo some loves these and I trust him using these alone. They only cut paper and he is able to practice his cutting skills without me having to monitor for safety.

Cutting practice

Bought to work on the skill of cutting with a 3-year-old. The book definitely advances from simple cutting to much harder cutting pretty quickly. Not too many basic cutting pages. Guess you could make copies of those pages that are easiest. However, seems like not the best investment for a younger audience just learning to use scissors.

Fun

My 3 1/2 year old played for hours with this. She was determined to master those little scissors and she finally did! There was one page I thought would be too challenging for her as they were pizza slices and I told her that. Well when she was done she said that wasn’t hard dude. So that was a win!

My 4 yo loves this!

I gave this to my 4 yo when he was sick at home, and it's a great way to pass the time. More importantly it's a great way for him to practice the work with scissors. The scissors are great, without any blade, and the plastic is sharp enough for the pages in the notebook. The pages has different difficulty levels, some with straight lines, some with curves which is a good challenge for kids

My 3 year old loves using this to practice using scissors! It has fun projects for them to cut out and learn how to cut on the lines.

The edges are not sharp and yet still cut paper somehow. My 2.5 year old loves to just cut paper, they’re great!

Good product, but too too expensive.

Very good and engaging activity for kids. I liked the idea that each page for cutting can further be used as a game, like I made a jigsaw puzzle out of one of the pictures with my son. But I found the price too steep for a plastic scissor and pages for cutting. Too steep.

Love it

Love this book. My daughter received it for Christmas a couple years ago and really enjoyed cutting the shapes out. I was surprised when she started Kindergarten but how much better she was at using scissors (and even pens which I think may have also stemmed from the dexterity she learned from using scissors) than the other children. I have now purchased this book for my godson for Christmas and am excited for him to use it. The scissors are safe with no metal blade (all plastic, not sharp). My daughter still has them and actually just used them today to cut through cardstock. This book is a simple concept that really teaches valuable skills.

Great start for learning how to use scissors

I am giving this 5 stars even though my little one has gotten bored of cutting quite quickly. Using scissors is one of the few skills taught before school so I thought it was a good idea. My 3 year old thought it was fun the first couple of days but got bored, which is no fault of the product. My child just prefers puzzles right now but I really like the design of the product and will bring it out again in a month or two. I would recommend as the product is good and another child might find this very fun
