Great light/heat blockage, thick, shiny, snags easy

These curtains are thick and block almost all light as the description states. I got the grey ones with ovals in silver. I did a lot of research online and in-store for blackout curtains for my nursery. The sun shines directly into the window and warms the room up too much. I really wanted something that blocked ALL light (which would have been this curtain with a rod pocket instead of grommets) and I needed it to slide easily on the curtain rod. I went with these Because I had to compromise a little light blockage for the grommets to get an easy slide. These do an amazing job at keeping light and heat out. I’d say that during the brightest part of the day it blocks 95% of light for sure. At night it’s pitch black with these drawn. The silver is really shiny and catches light in the room, they are pretty and hang nice. The wrinkles from the packaging fell right out of them. The fabric snags easily so be careful with them. I am scared to wash and iron them because of the silver foil embellishments...but we shall see, they seem durable though!

Perfect!

My 15 year old stepdaughter recently decided to modernize her room and we needed blackout curtains that were "older" but still youthful! These are perfect! I love them even more in person. She chose the splatter paint pattern and they look great in her room! They still have that youthful feel she was looking for but are definitely more grown up than before. They block out ALLLLLL of the light and the grommets are well made. The curtains are fairly heavy, as most blackout curtains are, but not so much that I worry about the rickety curtain rods she has holding them up. Overall, I am so pleased with these curtains! The silver paint splatter is bright and adds another dimension to the curtains. They are so fun and she is very happy! Definitely recommend!

What I wanted/ordered EXCEPT...

The tiebacks included with both sets are of a completely different pattern than the curtains. They do sell curtains with this tie back pattern seen in my picture but the tree branch pattern is on the curtains that I actually ordered. Too bad. I would really like to be able to use them to keep my curtains open, but they don't match so I'll be throwing the tie backs away.

Very Nice

Very good quality. NOT like the curtains you buy at the store that claim to block out light but don't. We didn't have to get any wrinkles out which was so nice because there weren't any! I wanted the shimmer-like effect and they look great, ESPECIALLY at night time!
