Great tool
All 82 pulls matched perfectly. Easy to use and accurate. This is a must tool for the DIY person who enjoys a quality look of their cabinet hardware.

It’s usable but I don’t see it lasting very long.
Huge fan of Milescraft for a lot their innovative yet handy products that I have come to use time and time again over the past few years. However, this jig is not part of that family. Quite honestly it feels a bit like a child’s play toy. It will do the job you need it to do but mine only lasted about two thirds of the way through my kitchen remodel before one of the threaded inserts for one of the thumb/set screws come loose inside the plastic deeming that major function inoperable. I did manage to rig something up for it to hold me through to finish out the rest of my cabinets doors but I honestly doubt I will try using it again. I will either end up buying a different brand if I have to do something like that again or just do it the old fashion way. It’s a brilliant idea with a decent design that has its flaws and could use some re-engineering. Maybe the unit I received happened today be a dud but I really doubt it if they are all manufactured like mine was. Only advise for you if you buy this is to talk to her sweet and be very gentle because she’s fragile.

Huge timesaver
Installing cabinet pulls and knobs is annoying and time consuming. If you don't use some sort of template, chances are you'll end up with one or more off from the rest. This jig will save a lot of time and make sure your cabinet pulls are uniform. It saves having to try to create a paper template. I highly recommend it.

Product not square. So unusual for Miles craft.
Product not being square results in drawer handle not being level. One side of 5" handle is 1/8" off level, very noticeable to viewer. I will attempt to contact Mfr. to see if the have encountered the problem and have a solution. I am attempting a modification of the product setup to work around the problem. will report on results when completed.

Poor Tolerances
Key parts of this are made of plastic which makes the tolerances on this questionable. The pilot holes on the tool I received were off from the reference surface by .024" which made duplicating cabinet doors impossible.

Works to perfectly place your hardware
There may be an easier way, I didn’t read the directions. But I put my hardware in the jig, put the screws in so it was in there stable. And then from there made sure the measurements were equal on each side. Tightened it down, took out my hardware, then I was able to make my marks. Worked so much better and easier than trying to measure.

Works well. Patience!
I recently purchased the Milescraft 1340 Hardware Jig and I am very satisfied with my purchase. It is a great tool for quickly and accurately installing cabinet and drawer handles, knobs and pulls. The adjustable drill guide makes it easy to adjust to different sizes and the template is designed to ensure that everything fits perfectly. The jig is also very sturdy and well made, with a durable construction that ensures it will last a long time. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a quick and easy way to install cabinet hardware. 4 stars!

Useful for the weekend DIYer
Before we get into the review, it's important to note that this is my view and I'm FAR from a kitchen remodeler/contractor - I'm just your average homeowner that saves a few bucks by doing some projects around the house myself vs hiring someone to do them. Given that view, this is a very helpful jig. We recently had our kitchen repainted and, knowing we were going to get new drawer handles and cabinet pulls, we had the painters fill the old holes while they were painting the cabinets. I was therefore looking for a jig or template that would help me drill new holes without having to have someone out JUST to put new handles on - I went in knowing it would be basically a one project tool, so I was looking for something cost effective but functional. Cost effective but functional is basically how I would describe this jig. This isn't an heirloom quality tool, not be a long shot - but it's not MEANT to be. It's mostly plastic with some parts that are thin metal, so it's unlikely to last more than a couple of projects. And it started out slightly off, so check yours when you get it - I was able to correct it fairly easily but did have to straighten it a few times over the course of the couple dozen holes I drilled (this is the main reason that I took off a star). It did function the way that I wanted it to and made my life a LOT easier than having to mark all the holes by hand. And it's priced like a tool that's meant to be used for a project to two. So if you are a weekend DIYer and need to put some handles on cabinets yourself without breaking the bank (but also without spending hours measuring each one individually), this could be a great option for you!

Only one defect - vertical slider is too loose
When you tighten the vertical slider, because there is too much play, it actually shifts the position of the horizontal holes by as much as 1/8". NOT GOOD. I fixed the issue by inserting little slices of electrical tape on the opposite side of the screw. Works pretty good. That plastic piece needs to be very precise and the one I got is way too loose. Check your before you commit the irreparable! There are two possible fixes: 1. Have 2 adjustment screws on each side 2. Reduce tolerance of plastic slider, needs to be perfectly sized

Not square or accurate
I'm a weekend woodworker. I didn't drill a single hole with this jig. Could not get to hold square, flimsy build and difficult to tighten. Tossed it and just used a bit of simple geometry and more time to install my handles. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this jig
