Doesn't work on grass!
Works great on concrete surfaces, but don't assume you can leave it on grass for any extended period. Grass punctures! I wish this was a disclosure. It did come with some puncture tape, but I need a whole roll!

East to Fill - Not So Easy to Empty
These things were easy to set up. They prevented flooding in areas of my home which have always flooded during Hurricanes. With this Hurricane I rested easier once I saw that the water was being diverted away from my house. HOWEVER, simply unscrewing the cap, to empty the product, does not work. Despite my, above average, intelligence and taking it slow, the product simply had to be moved so the water could empty out of the hole, that was on top. End result, I have three punctured units and two more that are still full of water until I can figure out a way to get the water out.

Heavy duty,, quick to fill, one hour with our tap. Slower to empty
This product sits totally flat on the ground so there is no leakage under it. No more trying to lift, position and take away many sandbags. Completely diverts water away. We have one across our driveway and are so pleased we have purchased two smaller ones for in front of our garage. Emptying bags takes longer and this allows for being careful not to overflow our soak holes

They roll off of flat surfaces and tear at the seams
Bought 4 of the 20 ft long ones, and several of the 10 foot long ones to placed on top of our breakwall which is a flat concrete surface (sealed concrete). Placed them, got up the next morning and two were in the yard having rolled off! Light breeze, 10 mph, no storms or high winds and no waves as the lake was calm. Drained them, stacked them as recommended by a company rep, left the cottage, coming back about 10 days later and they were scattered like dominoes in the grass yard, having rolled off the flat top of the breakwall, which is about as wide as a sidewalk. Two of them, a 20 ft and a 10 ft, had torn open at the seams and were laying flat...all the water had leaked out of them thru the tears. . We threw them away, emptied out the other ones by unscrewing the stopper, , rolled them up and stowed them in the shed. We are returning the unopned two 20 footers and one 10 footer. These MAY work if you are only using them to place in front of a closed garage door, but they do not work on top of a flat surface w/o something for them the "lean" up against to stop them from rolling. I contacted Amazon for a return adn then I contacted the company rep about it who suggested that our concrete breakwall may not be sealed and they recommend putting down a plastic sheet under the Quick Dams. Our breakwall is sealed, and a plastic sheet under these would have been like a slip and slide! They couldn't stay put in 10 mph breezes and with the plastic sheet probably would have slipped off as soon as we walked away. An expensive failed experiment. For the same amount of money that we paid for all of the Quick Dams we ordered, we could have brought in a load of large concrete formed blocks and hired the backhoe to place them on top of the breakwall...which is just what we have done.

Leaked from the start.
Had 3 hairline leaks when I first used it and had to go out and buy patches. It’s almost like it was from the creases when it was delivered in its original packaging. I’m not one to send things back if it’s a simple fix but I shouldn’t have had this problem from the start. Material feels very thin and might easily tear.

Worked perfectly to block our garage door (10 ft size)
It filled easily and I used a small electric water pump to drain it…simple and quick.

Tears easily. Very difficult to patch.
Used as a barrier across our driveway. Tears easily. Very difficult to patch. Wish the material was similar to a bicycle tube tire or other material which would hold up better. High price for what you get. Awaiting refund after returning.

Punctured within 2 days
I specifically purchased 2 of these because the literature said you could drive over them. Both punctured within 2 days. So now I’m left with $200 worth of useless plastic. I have used other Quik Dam products before and they worked well. So I’m kind of disappointed in these.

Would not buy this item again.
used it once and only had to fill it half full with a garden hose to give it enough pressure to rediret the water across the driveway, so far so good. Next day I went to drain it and low and behold a nice split across the seam allowed me to forgo that simple task. It went from my driveway onto the garbage pile. Not impressed and a nice waste of $116 by the time I got it to my door.

Garbage - burst spontaneously
Had four of these to block my driveway from storm water off the street - three developed tears along the seams after one use - total garbage given the cost…
