Well built, high quality, good instructions - Recommended

After 22 years installed our old kitchen faucet gave up the ghost. It had been a really good faucet and had many features we liked, so I had hoped that it had remained in production for all of those years, but it hadn't, and I'm glad. This new one is considerably better. One of the challenges with something being in place for 22 years is that it doesn't often come out the way that it went in, as demonstrated in the second picture. It's never a good day in plumbing when a hacksaw is required, but required (and effective) it was, but any hope of repairing the old faucet was squarely out the window at this point in time. One of the features we really liked about the old faucet was the high arc of the spout, and the ability to swivel between the two basins in the sink we have, so any new faucet needed to have those same features. It also needed to be a 3 hole installation. I added a Water Nymph sprayer in place of the stock aerator to add some flexibility in directing the spray, I'll review it separately. Another thing that 22 years allows for is for things to improve, and in today's world I know that's not always true. For the most part products I buy for our house are either outrageously expensive to match the quality of the rest of the house, or just cheap (and not in the good way). This Moen Faucet surprised me with its amazing high quality, (see all brass fittings in the third picture) and its fair price. The improvement over the old faucet comes in terms of user serviceability, all of the parts for this are available separately, so if something goes wrong I can fix it, and installation. The old faucet was a complex installation with several hoses and fittings running under the counter from each of the individual pieces (the two valves and the spout) to make them all work together. This faucet has a solid brass valve body, adjoined with an undersink "bridge" made from copper, with all of the items at the correct spacing. The bridge was slightly bent when I opened the package, but the soft copper was easy to realign so that everything fit perfectly. With the helping hands of my 13 year old son only needed to get the valves installed to the countertop, the installation was smooth and easy, and the result fantastic. I really like the tactile feel of a good valve operating properly, and this faucet has that in spades. The valves provide the right resistance to feel subsatantial, but don't bind. The same is true with the spout swivel. Smooth and well engineered. The faucet flows a good amount of water, making it useful in the kitchen, and it looks great. It is highly recommended.

it worked great..

I bought this faucet in March 2013. For the first year, it worked great...no complaint and I would highly recommended at that time. After the first year, I began to experience some minor problems such as the spout loosened and the water dripped very fast (I didn't measure the rate) and another minor problem that I can't describe. My husband tightened the spout and the drips stopped plus he resolved the other problem for me. The problems were insignificant and I would still recommend it. We are going into our 4th year with the faucet and I am very unsatisfied with the faucet. Here are the problems I have been experiencing since August, every time I turned on the hot water handle half way, the whole faucet shakes violently. I can feel the vibration when my stomach touches the counter in front of the sink. In the last two weeks, the shaking doesn't occur every time I turn on the hot water handle. However, on several occasions, the hot water drips even when I turned it to the max. My husband diagnosed the problem and said something is wrong on the hot water side. Unfortunately, I can't remember exactly what he told me. To get it fixed, we would have to get a plumber out. Unless, the situation is critical I don't like to call people out because I don't like strangers in the house. He said he can change the faucet so now I am looking into a new faucet. The specialist in a home improvement store recommended me to call Moen first to see if the company try to make it right by us. Will try to update later.

SUBSTANDARD PRODUCT BY MOEN

The list of things wrong with this faucet and Moen is long. First two parts that were supposed to be included were left out intentionally by Moen. The instructions show how these parts are to be used. I contacted Moen support. They told me they no longer include these parts. My faucet was packed with outdated instructions. Installing the faucet without these parts left the spout wobbling on its base. The set screw that is supposed to fasten the base is poorly made and strips easily. The plumber did his best, but with incorrect instructions and a product that was indifferently packaged by Moen, he did not stand a chance. DO NOT BUY FROM MOEN! They do not live up to their reputation. February 28, 2017 update. If I could give this faucet a rating below one star, I would. Now, after only a little more than a year installed, the hot water valve leaks.

Looks great, works great, good price

I love how substantial this faucet is while still being a looker. The handles turn in a direction opposite to what I am accustomed and it took some brainpower for the first week not to fight it, but now my muscle memory is in place and I couldn't be more pleased with the product.

These are really good heavy duty faucets!! Amazing price!! I got two for my 2 sinks in the kitchen. I like the curve design for greater ease of use when washing larger pots and pans.

Quality product, pleased overall

The quality of manufacture is high, great chrome finish. Installation took several hours but instructions were clear. I was able to use the handles from my previous faucet (like the design better) - the action of the valves is very smooth with just the right amount of resistance. Am quite pleased and would look to use other m-dura products in the future.
