Handle wobbles no matter what

Other reviewers have noted that this handle does not sit flat on the plate. I had had plumber install it first and it seemed far out and wobbly. I took it apart and saw there were some parts he didn't install right. I purchased a new valve just in case the old one was an anomaly. It wasn't. Same weird wobbly fit. The two plastic pieces fell out and I've just used it without them, but it probably isn't good for the stem. So, I've wasted money on two handles, labor and still don't have functioning handle. No one has mentioned that there are no Hot or Cold indicators on the handle. It would be nice if the plate had those indicators on it. As it is, I can't see putting labels on. That is another design flaw. This is the third Moen product that is poorly-designed. The other was a towel rack that has two levels. I though it would be great to get two for one, but it's impossible to get the inside towel out without pulling the other towel off. And it's angled down so you can't really stack things on top. So it's all for naught. I thought Moen was high-end, not just high-priced.

Not a premium experience

The media could not be loaded. This product did not offer the owner experience expected with a premium brand. I replaced ALL fixtures in two bathrooms with 100% Moen, expecting that the extra expense would pay off with better fit and finish, as well as support if needed. Not so. Every picture of the handle (on both Amazon and Moen's site) shows it fitting flush against the plate. It doesn't. Not even close. Yes, I have the exact Moen Posi-Temp valve called for, and no it doesn't fit. The handle sticks out about 3/4 of an inch. Not only does this look bad and expose the stem, the handle wobbles. It is humanly impossible to make this handle any tighter, more secure, or closer to the plate. As a result, I spent an inordinate amount of time researching what could be wrong. Even down to finding the specs on the Moen site and verifying everything matched. It just does not fit the way any thoughtful and reasonable person would expect. So I called Moen to get any kind of recommendation on how to resolve the issue. They don't take calls. I was sent right to voicemail and told someone would have to call me back. Did I want to type in a time that I was available? I said I did and entered a time. "Not available," the voice said. "Someone can call you on Wednesday at 11:30. Okay?" I said okay. The time was repeated and the call ended. Mind you, the U.S has six time zones. Did they mention which one they were scheduling me for? They did not. So two days later I waited for the entire morning. And, as you might guess, that call never came. A premium product at a premium price. No quality control or expectation that the design makes any sense or lives up to the pictures. And support that doesn't exist. And so my Moen tale concludes.

Not Sure

It looks nice, but after two weeks, there are water spots all over it! Why would something to be used inside a shower get water spots all over it once it dries?

Looks good

Easy to install. I used a little clear silicone around the ring just for extra water protection. If I had to buy again, would get the set with the matching bath spout. The universal one I bought doesn't exactly match in color.

Awesome!

Love the Brantford Collection! Our new bathrooms look amazing with the oil rubbed bronze fixtures. Pictures on line are a little inconsistent, but all of the shower pieces matched the rest of the collection (faucets, towel bars, toilet lever, toilet paper holder, etc.). Tub spigot was a little darker, but not that noticeable.

Beautiful appointment and works like a dream!

Beautiful compliment to my new shower and works like a dream. One thing to note is that it turns on with the hot water coming out first. Of course it isn't hot at the beginning, but it does take some getting used to. Now that I am, I like it and I actually think it helps to reduce the chance of scalding as there has always been a tendency to turn the faucet on full force to bring the hot water to the tube or shower quicker.

Looks & Works Great!

Bought the valve and trim for a new shower. Liked it so well i bought a 2nd one to replace an old one in anther bathroom. Looks great, no problems. The dimension on how deep to mount the valve is critical and can't be adjusted after the wall board goes up. Valve must be supported by copper pipe, but can switch to Pex after that.
