Breast feeding MVP read this review!!

This pillow is amazing. It holds the baby perfectly keeping her on her side and at an angle where she is not smothered by breast tissue. It also provides incredible posture support for me. Since using this pillow the baby has had a better latch, more productive feeding and the tendinitis in my arm is clearing up. I cannot recommend this pillow enough.

Would buy again!

I have been using this nursing pillow for about 1 month and i am so glad I purchased this to replace my boppy pillow. It's a much better design as the pillow fits against your stomach and your baby isnt always falling through the hole like on the boppy. I also have ended up loving the clip on feature and find myself walking around the house with it clipped on the majority of the time as breastfeeding is an all day job. I like the pocket where I keep my phone and if I'm stuck on the couch I can put the remote in there too. Its foldable enough that I can put it in my stroller basket when I go to the park or in the back of the car to nurse comfortably on the go. The reason I gave this 4 stars is because the cover that comes with this pillow is a terrible color for nursing on and the velcro on the outside is not a great design. My suggestion is go ahead and order a different cover with the pillow. The one I purchased has a clip but does not have the velcro attachment and I like it much better.

Better support but still use pillows

I love this for breastfeeding my only complaint is I wish the padding was thicker. I still find myself bending over when I sit cross cross. And adding another pillow underneath to get better height. The back support is decent and it’s a great product I just wish it had more thickness.

Ugly but functional

I avoided purchasing for a while due to the looks and horrible name of this product but eventually broke down. After my baby was 1-2 months old I did find it a helpful single tool as one of a few different tools in my baby feeding pillow toolbox. I do wish the organic cover was a thicker barrier to the basic/gross non-organic foam core… overall, while not ideal in many ways, would buy again as nursing is not easy and this has been helpful.

Over hyped

Pros: - more comfy than boppy, supports my back - firmer pillow - the pocket is nice. Cons: - pricey for a pillow - ugly/orthopedic looking - organic cotton is a thin cheap cloth. Stains very easily. And smelled chemically when arrived. Overhyped. Why would I ever think pillows were one size fits all? We all have different sized babies, breasts/nipple positions, and torso lengths… and sit in different chairs that place our laps at different heights. It’s not like this pillow stays at the right height with the weight of a baby. With it on, I felt trapped to breastfeeding in the same chair with this contraption. I also don’t like the bumps on this pillow to support babies head. He is too tall to use them as “pillows” Would return but he spit up on it. Now this $60+ dollar pillow with a pocket is in my car for on the go nursing.

Saved my back

This saved my back. I was using a boppy before and had terrible back pain. Now no back pain when breastfeeding. fits great, adjustable too as you start losing baby weight. Only complaint is putting on the fabric is hard and the fabric cover is not very soft/comfortable for baby. Would consider a new cover

Lifesaver

My sister recommended this before I had my baby, and I didn't give it much further thought until after my c-section seven weeks ago. My son had trouble latching from the start, but my post-surgery body wasn't up for the contortions needed to try all the elaborate positions that were supposed to improve his latch. The My Brest Friend pillow basically let me concentrate on feeding my baby without having to master a new form of yoga first. The pillow is very firm, filled with what feels like compressed foam. Essentially it forms a shelf under your breasts where your baby can lie comfortably. There is also a raised bit in front of each breast that supports your baby's head. In the back is a smaller bit that fits in the small of your back - as another reviewer noted, you won't be able to lean back against this bit by itself, but it is very effective at keeping the pillow in place comfortably. You can adjust the fit by using the long Velcro strip that holds the closure strap in place (it fit my post-birth belly with plenty of room to spare, and I'm not a skinny person!). Once you're happy with the fit, you only ever have to clip and unclip it after that. With the pillow on, I can basically nurse one-handed, just holding my baby against my body. There's no lifting at all, and no messing around with positioning and support. Now that my scars have healed up and we've properly established feeding, I still use the pillow about half of the time. Lovely to just let the wee one do his thing while I read or play on the iPad!

bought for a present

unglamorous i know but having been there it is the best BF pillow about and really makes your life a lot easier, which, lets face it is what that time is all about!! I reckoned it was better than another adorable cute clothes set that the new baby would wear about twice and puke on. And the receiver of the present seemed to agree too!Seems expensive but compared to other less effective pillows it is worth the money

This saved my wrists and fingers!

Oh man, positioning a baby and holding them for hours every day was so painful it messed up my tendons and basically turned my hands into claws. Then, my family doctor (also a mom) recommended (actually commanded) that I buy this pillow for breast feeding and WOW has it been a life saver! It makes it painless to position and support a baby while feeding, it has a handy pocket for whatever you want to put in there (nipple shields, tissues, nipple pads, cellphone), and it's pretty easy to clean. My other breastfeeding friends were amazed when they saw me use it at our last hangout and now they all want one too. Strongly recommend!

Poor Quality

I purchased this one because I saw it was a bit more expensive and figured better quality than the $50 ones on Amazon. I love these nursing pillows as they have saved my neck and back but this pillow however seems very poorly made and I wonder if it’s a knock off. I’ve had it 2 months and the foam is losing shape and the cover has gotten scratchy and pilly. This is not the quality of the “brest friend” one I tried in hospital.

Terrible quality, not supportive.

I’m not sure what happened here... I ordered this because I really loved my Brest friend nursing pillow with my first and needed a second one for our 2nd baby (so I could have a pillow upstairs and downstairs). Have used this for 2 weeks and it is nowhere near the same quality as my original pillow. The foam is not supportive at all. Also, I took off the cover to wash it and the foam looks used/dirty/has a chunk missing from it?!?! Is this a knock off pillow or has quality really gone down this much in the last couple years?
