Nice, Well-Made Chest Hinge for 3/4" to 1" Boards

Decent, well-made hinge. Not fancy but they work. I bought both the Zinc Plated (N147-165 V550) and Brass Finished (N147-181 V550) models of this hinge. They are 1 1/2" wide. The 'base' is ~ 2 1/8" from the edge to the center of the hinge pin. The 'offset' is ~ 1 1/8" from the center of the hinge pin to the center of the bend. The 'lip' is ~ 1 1/4" from the center of the bend to the edge. Note: These are listed and marked 'For 3/4" Material' but will accept 1" Nominal Board material with very little fitting as the 'offset' is slightly bigger than 3/4" and "today's" board material is typically undersized. I'll buy again when I need a 'general use' Chest Hinge.

Hinges for ottoman repair

Love Amazon same day delivery! With a burst of Saturday morning motivation, I ordered these hinges along with these support slow close supports (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M6XXUM1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_mB6aGbWMB1BDV?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1) to fix my upholstered storage ottoman. This was exactly the combo I needed, and by Saturday night it's all fixed! Easy to install, came with screws that were just the right length to not go through the finished edge of my storage box. Good sturdy product.

NOT A PAIR JUST ONE HINGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the answered questions said this was a pair. Sometimes amazon descriptions are messy like the 20 piece line in the specifications. Not worth the $7. would have been a good price for a pair the bent-over part will fit on a 3/4 board ok with the scared holes just off of center towards the hinge. hinge does not sit flat when closed. I guess I decide to buy another or just find a use for 1 hinge.

Hard to find, Easy to install

After much hunting around Home Depot and Lowe's, I could not find this type of hinge for the life of me for a storage bench I built. I get the idea to look for it on Amazon and what do you know? Here it is! And in the color I need! It is easy to install and brings all the screws needed for installation.

I am restoring an old greenhouse and these hinges are perfect. The width is 3/4 inch as stated but the hinge pin adds another 1/8. If you add a 1/8 shim the door is flat. Sturdy, should last many years. Great for out doors application.

Great chest hinges.

This is the second set of hinges I have purchased. As before, they are of good sturdy metal and manufacturing. I like the style because it is simple, yet keeps the hinge screws private and secure.

Not for 3/4" thickness, more like 7/8"

Pros : They work as I expect for a hinge. You'll have to recess them obviously but the bent design fits nicely for a chest. Cons : NOT for 3/4 width as indicated. There are 2 screws hole that you have to screw in the middle of your board and to do that I had to shim it (see photo). If I hadn't do that I would have spliced the wood for sure.
