The Squirrels Laughed and Laughed!
“Ah”, I thought when I found these upside down suet feeders. Surely this will prevent my hoard of rampaging squirrels from gobbling all the BIRD’s suet. “This’ll get them!” I thought with glee. So, when I received the feeder I promptly loaded it with scrumptious suet and proudly hung it out and waited to watch and enjoy the impending squirrel frustration. The first bird to discover the new feeder was a nuthatch who had a good munch. He was displaced by a small woodpecker who also enjoyed a snack. The squirrel squad circled in frustration. “That got you little monsters!” thought I. But much to my dismay, it took the arboreal rodents about five minutes to figure out how to leap across impossible spaces to land like they were stuck with Velcro to the new fancy upside down feeder. From that point on it was like “Squirrel du Soleil” as the squad performed aerial ballet, hanging from their awful little toes as they munched to their hearts content. And, I could hear them laughing at me, a ghastly cachinnation at my utter failure to thwart the rodential hoard. Their insidious Sciuridae chuckles continue to haunt my dreams. Other than that, this is a great (and entertaining) suet feeder and highly recommended.

Nice product but no the birds favorite style
Hung next to my existing suet feeder I assumed the birds would catch on quickly. Some did, and others do feed from it as often. I thought variety might be nice. I’m hoping the birds will warm to it over the next week or so.

Perfect for woodpeckers and nuthatches
The evil sparrows don't like them. I also put out whole peanuts. Jay's love them and cardinals learn how to Crack them. Still sparrow free.

Birds like it.
First one I ordered arrived broken and it was annoying because they made me ship it back. Idk why they wanted it back... are they just going to sell it to some other poor soul?? Anyway, I reordered and got a new one that was not broken. It works well and the birds like it. It is a little heavy though so you need to choose a sturdier branch to hang it from than the basic wire suet feeders.

So happy! Finally!
My Downeys have figured out how to eat the suet from this and so far ZERO grackles, starlings or sparrows have touched it!! Very happy.

Woodpeckers love this
Allows woodpeckers tails to rest on bottom of feeder. Only problem the wooden painted top has bear spots which allows rain to seep into wood.

Small for the price.
Very small for the cost. Not many birds like it. Made well. Would make nice gift.

this is a great feeder .
I love the idea of this feeder - but the starlings have mastered it too !! I have got to the point of taking it off the tree , the starlings hack away at it !! Then the jackdaws congregate on the ground to pick up what the starlings hack out !! It's a great feeder and I like the look of it too - I initially bought it for the woodpeckers , who do go on it to be fair - but the starlings can empty 2 blocks in a week ! Any one got an air gun ?!! Lol .

Roof arrived in two parts, not even nailed together
The suet feeder arrived with the roof in two parts, there was 3 small nails on one side, but no screws or metal hinge as ahowed in the pictures. The roof was poorly painted, not even fully covered with paint, and it certainly did not look waterproof. For the money I paid, plus the extra for the shipping cost; this was very disappointing.

Ideal for woodpeckers and tits
We bought this to keep the starlings off our suet blocks. To speed up acclimatisation, tilt one end up by about 10-15 degrees until blue and great tits start to use it. The woodpeckers then soon get the message. This should pay for itself in preventing starlings wolfing down the suet,
