Our Go-To Filter Brand

Can definitely tell the difference when it’s time to change the filter - no date reminders needed. And that’s how we know it’s working. We have awful tasting tap water & this fixes it. I don’t even like water & these filters make it not just palatable but actually good tasting.

Great pitcher, usually great filter.

We love our New Wave Enviro Alkaline water pitcher! This was our first purchase of this filter on Amazon as previously we'd purchased elsewhere online. Unfortunately, our latest purchase of this filter has an issue - the water filters through suuuper slow and we can only add a little bit of water into the pitcher at a time, or we have to set the top part up out of the pitcher while the water moves through. Not sure what the deal is on this particular filter (possibly just a defective one), but normally it's a great filter!

Easy to install. Not found in all stores. I purchased Water Pitcher in Whole Foods so it’s been great to order the filter from Amazon.

A few issues over the years

I got the pitcher when I was diagnosed with cancer about a year ago and was told alkaline water would be ideal for me. I do live the taste which is why I still use this one. I bought the pitcher and the filter indicator didn't ever work. Then the lid flap broke. I emailed and got a new indicator…that one didn’t work. So I no if bought a whole new pitcher. The indicator worked for a day. So I never know when to change my filter. Then the flap broke off this one! What the heck? This thing is cheaply made. Then I got my refill filter in the mail in a used package, taped back up, with no directions in it. I’m getting more and more annoyed with this company but I haven’t found another pitcher within my price range, that isn’t super big. I’ll keep looking, and I hope this company can step it up a bit.

Not an expiration date you are seeing!

I am hoping this review will save others some time and agony.. as you can see in my photo, the filter has a date of Sept 2019. My first reaction was panic thinking this was an expiration date... however I emailed the manufacturers of this filter and got some relief. Customer service told me this is a MANUFACTURING DATE - NOT AN EXPIRATION date. They told me this product does not expire. Hope this helps others!

GREAT RESULTS!!!

I bought two pitchers from another site only they did not offer refils... so I bought only one here after reading the only review which was not good at all... I have to say, I have had no problem with my pitcher, new filter is in place, and working just fine. I did notice when I first put my pitcher together initially, I had to push the filter in place, it does not drop into place like the Brita filter. Getting ready to order two more because I opened my second pitcher... was waiting to see if there was an issue with the replacement filter and since the answer to that is NO... I will order two of them.

Works like it should personally I think these filters are all over priced but this is the second one that I purchased and I’m happy with it

As the manufacture indicated, the past calendar date....

I emailed about the past calendar date that printed on the sleeve also, after confirmed from the maker that the date printed is manufacture date, I replied: "Okay fine, but simply print a line of a past calendar date so we, the consumers would make bad / good guesses, thus caused a lot of unnecessary returns". What has made the manufacture so proud effort to add an extra line to indicate "Manufacture Date:"...??

Considerably Lower pH (7.2/7.5) - Doesn't seem to alkaline well

The pH was considerably lower (e.g. 7.2, 7.5 pH) than the 8.5 advertised, using our pH meter. After re-running the same water through it five times, the pH was finally 8.5. Maybe it wasn't sealed properly as the filter is slightly shorter than regular. We used a BRITA compatible jug. Anyways, the water filtered through the filter very fast. We used the filter for three weeks, then replaced it and used a different brand alkaline filter (e.g. Vitev, green package, three-pack, really good, would recommend). For us, this one did not seem to alkaline very well and would not really recommend it.
