Nordic Pure MERV 10 Plus Carbon-Luftfilter bestehen aus einem Doppelmaterial, bei dem das MERV-zertifizierte Material mit einer Carbonschicht verschmolzen wurde. Es hilft dabei, unerwünschte Gerüche zu beseitigen und den größten Teil des Staubs und der Partikel in der Luft einzufangen, sodass frische, saubere Luft entsteht. Geruchsbelästigende Gase und Dämpfe (VOC) werden vom Aktivkohlematerial angezogen und festgehalten, während gleichzeitig hervorragende Luftströmungseigenschaften erhalten bleiben. Alle plissierten Luftfilter von Nordic Pure werden aus einem robusten, feuchtigkeitsbeständigen Rahmen aus Getränkekarton hergestellt. Für zusätzlichen Halt ist an den Falten ein Stützgitter aus Metallgeflecht befestigt. Unsere Luftfilter verwenden permanent elektrostatisch geladenes Material, das wie ein Magnet dafür sorgt, dass Staub am Luftfilter haften bleibt. Undersized for a reason!

Be aware that these filters are DESIGNED to be about 1/2" underside for a reason! Note: I put this under 5 star and not 1 star so as to not downgrade a great filter. If you own a house like ours then the cheapo builders take as many shortcuts as possible and just cut a hole in the HVAC duct work and shove a filter into the slot. A full sized filter will NOT fit. So you need to order filters made 1/2" undersized since the metal ducts are measured on their outside while the filter needs to fit into their inside. Often this is called "American" sized filters. If you have a quality home with a fully manufactured filter housing then you most likely need full size filters to fill the hole. Filters made oversea (IE - China) are measured the to the exact size as labeled and work just fine with a "REAL" filter housing. Run to the local home discount store and pick up brand XYZ and Bob's your uncle. Normally this would be a good thing. With building standards in this country that allow 2"x4" lumber to be 1-3/4" x 3-3/4". The so-called reason is wood is measured prior to the final shaping these days, but not in the past. Building codes also don't require a sealed filter housing, I guess, and so in the case of our very expensive tract house a huge hole was hogged out of the duct side for each of our two HVAC systems resulting in gobs of air is sucked into the hole bypassing the filter. The one in the attic sucks in cold air in winter, hot air in summer and dust, fiberglass particles and whatever else is found in the attic of a house. We need to purchase undersize filters, tape the filter into the openings and repeat as often as necessary. This is a case of nothing is standard unless you demand it yourself in writing when you contract HVAC installation or buy a house. Buy a tract shack from one of the big national home builders and get crap for filter housings and fall in love with N.P. filters. We love the "American" size (undersize) filter like Nordic Pure, else we need to spend time cutting down the discount H.D./L's filters doing our own engineering project of the month.

They work and do filter the air but if you have dogs you may want to go with different kind

I bought these thinking that they would work as good as or better than Filtrete MERV 12 air filters. They do not pickup as much dust/dirt/hair that is the air as the Filtrete air filters. If you do not have allergies/animals then these should do the job. I just need something that works better.

Good Filters, good price

Good Filters, good price, just wish that it would have less cross carton reinforcement that reduce the air flow but all i do is to cut some of them and go. they are less expensive than others and have as good filtration.
