Oakley authentic does it best
I am grateful that I was still able to purchase Oakley Flak Jacket ver 1.0 replacement lenses. Oakley optics are excellent. I thought I better buy them before they are unavailable and completely replaced by version 2.0. While not easy to install they were not as difficult as some have stated. Just take your time and go slow. It also helps to wet the top of the lenses to make them slide easier.

Be ready for a stressful and lengthy installation
These are the REAL DEAL Oakley lenses. That is the first thing you need to be assured of... Beyond that? Yes, I do really like them, not that I have them installed. But you need to be prepared for an installation process that might stress you out. (Other reviews often said the same thing ...as I read before I bought). EVEN using the precise technique suggested and described by Oakley in their installation instructions, it took me 15 minutes of struggling, thinking I was going either break the lenses, or break my Oakley frame, to get the lenses in place. Trust me, they will not just "click" into place, and there you go. Not even. You must be very careful...go slowly...make sure you have the lenses in it track on the frames, and then tug and push and squeeze and torque the frame hoping to get the lenses in. When you get the first one in, you will think it is a miracle. Then you realize that you have one more to go! I am sure someone working at the Oakley production facility might have the procedure down pat? They have done thousands of lenses. Unfortunately, they weren't here for me to ask to install my lenses! I am not kidding. I can read, and I have done things like this before. I am probably an A- candidate to try an Oakley lens installation. But when you are holding $150 worth of frame and lenses and twisting them and bending them, do you really want to say, "Oh, the heck with it. I am just going to torque the $%$#! out of these and go for the gold!" No. I don't think so. You are going to tweak and twist and push and stop and take a break. And then try again, and again, and again! So when you buy these, and when you are trying to get your lenses in place? Pray that you have that rare set of frames (I did replace another set and it went much more smoothly) that are just that 1/10,000 of an inch a better fit, and click right in. If not, don't say I didn't warn you! Paul Texas

Love the Polarized Ice Lenses
If you're debating lens colors like I was at first, make sure you do your homework on base tints for Oakley lenses. They make some great purpose-built lenses in my opinion, but the colors vary widely (both exterior and what your eye sees from the interior). Many, if not most, of their colored lenses these days seem to have varying degrees of contrast enhancement for different lighting conditions and activities. They don't have a ton of concise information on their site about every lens, but I found several forums where people are discussing them and their differences. This is just a word to the wise, based on my experience. I tried on a few different pairs locally and thought I had things figured out to get a blue lens similar to my old ice Juliet's, but found that the H2O deep polarized lenses actually have a contrast enhancing 'rose-colored' tint to them and not a neutral black/grey like my old Ice lenses. Again, this was before realizing that Oakley still makes ice lenses and does so for the Flak Jackets. I ordered and am very happy with the Polarized Ice lenses from Amazon, and am now just waiting on what I hope is my final frame order. And yes, as far as I can tell the current gen Polarized Ice lenses appear the same as the roughly 10 yr old Polarized Ice lenses from my Juliet's. The only minor difference I've seen is that the new lenses seem to have an ever so slightly deeper blue/purple exterior to them. This could just be due to the age/wear on my older lenses.

Go for the real deal
I had previously purchased non-Oakley lenses. They were OK but were not great. After a year I had enough of lenses that had coating flake off and never really could get clear, so I ordered these. The difference is huge...absolutely huge. I'll not ever go back to knock-offs

Ok
These did eventually pop in but I don’t believe there original Oakley products. The ones I got from the Oakley store popped in a whole lot easier than these and the polarized lenses do not allow me to see into the water so I am questioning whether these are even polarized

OEM is so much better
I had a knock off pair of Traill lenses and they were OK. They broke so I ordered the original Oakley version. They are much clearer! Also, the Oakley lenses do not reflect the light back off the inside of the lens. This makes them much better with no reflective glare. Highly recommend if you are a runner/outdoor enthusiast that you spring for the Oakley brand!

Perfect Fit
Genuine Oakley Flak Jacket XLJ replacement lenses - nice tight fit and good optics. Just unfortunate that there are very few colour options for replacement XLJ sunglasses. My frames are fine - it's only the lenses that need replacing - so why does Oakley not offer more colour options ? Oh yea I forgot - they want you to upgrade to the Flak Jacket 2.0 !!!

Would use again
Great authentic product at a good price and delivered as promised

An excellent product
Excellent quality unlike the cheaper Revant replacements that lost their coating after a couple of months. These are particularly excellent for sport in the great British weather with frequent light/shade areas when out on the bike for example, taking off the glar and brightness but somehow making everything seem clearer

Great lenses, Oakley well worth the cost.
This is part of a Christmas present, but I have purchased this before and the person I bought them for was really pleased. The lenses are of very good quality. It is great to be able to replace lenses on these Oakley sunglasses as the frame is super comfy.

Brilliant and Cheap
I ordered these to replace some standard Flak Jacket lenses of which I had lost. On searching for them, I found Oakley would charge £100-£150 for the same product. I did not pay for fast delivery, and so I expected the week or so long delivery time, especially since it states that it may take an extra 2 days to deliver. However, the Lenses arrived a day early, just in time for me to take them on a bike ride today, and they performed excellently. Love the quality, and they are cheaper than direct from Oakley, I am very pleased
