Not PVC adapter as in main picture

Description words say abs however main picture clearly shows PVC. Easy to just use some all-purpose glue or they make PVC to ABS transition glue if you want to be "legal" when changing from one pipe to the other type fitting. Saw another reviewer say there's no 1.5" connection. The inch and a half connection is further in past the 2" connection. I've been a plumber for over 20 years and these air admittance valves have had the dual connection like this for a very long time. I still can't figure out why the PVC adapter version cost four or five bucks more last I looked. This brand has never failed me and installation is straightforward.

I thought I had a clogged sewer line, then I realized the vent needed to be replaced.

These are easy to replace when they get old. I thought my drain was clogged until I unscrewed the old vent and the water went down like it used to. I ordered a new vent and installed it in minutes and the problem was solved.

Problem solved!

I had major problems when flushing the toilet and water was gurgling out of the urinal. Installed this vent about 4 inches above the urinal waste line and it worked fine!! I didn’t need the black connection that comes with the vent. It’s a 2 inch diameter. Very happy with this product.

This is a product that you never know if it works or not....it is buried in a wall and if it works or not...who knows...even plumbers don't know. They all can tell you what it does, but not one of them could tell me what to look for IF it isn't working. So put it in and forget about it its a free gift for life of service (or not). Not many of these about.

Cheap ABS plastic but it meets my needs

I got the ABS version and the plastic felt cheap. It doesn't need to take much tension so it's not a big deal. Works fine and hasn't cracked or anything thus far. I got a little confused because the first picture in this listing at the moment is of the PC plastic version (white, not black) but this is definitely ABS.

Works perfect!

This AAV comes with an ABS attachment that can fit a 1.5" or a 2" ABS pipe glue fitting. Very easy to install. I don't know why people have a hard time recognising that. The vent works as it should, only lets air in not out.

Stops Sewer Gas

The unit does what is supposed to do, let air in and stop air from getting out. Initially I was put off by negative comments about the product but realized soon that it was all because of a misunderstanding. The vent will fit on 1and a 1/2 or a 2" pipe.
