Well conceived pots that will be the last you buy. Cannot be happier with these in my kitchen.

The Good Reasons Why We Appreciate Oxo Cookware
Typical Features of OXO Cookware: Tri-ply layers, aluminum between stainless Arguably, one (1) of the safest surfaces Non-reactive to many more foods Five (5) heating surfaces friendly Induction heating ready to go Internal measurement marks Oven safe to 600°Farenheit Riveted contoured handles Three (3.3) quart capacity (1.7) quart capacity Metal utensil safe V-shaped handles Dishwasher safe Easy clean-up Non-porous Mira series Sturdy grip Even heat Glass lids Durable Shiny Considerations: No deep fryer Mid-level price No pour spouts Needs cooking oil No helper handle’s Cleaning can be a challenge Glass lids have no vent holes Not scratch, dent, or ding proof Does “not” have a non-stick surface Stainless steel is generally a poor heat conductor We think OXO cookware is built for every type of cook in our household. We have respect for the OXO brand and these saucepans/pots only add to our respect. We have been using OXO products for a time period that can be measured in years. Why? Because OXO is a name brand, and we like name brand products. Why? Because name brand products have high standards and stand behind what they sell; that includes OXO. So, if there is an issue with what we bought, we believe OXO will honor any warranty. Further, when we want to add to our growing collection, we can look to OXO to likely have what we want. Which brings us added confidence in any OXO product, including these advertised (1½) but actually (1.7) and (3) but actually (3.3) quart capacity tri-ply saucepans/pots. Now we will note that we do have other cookware brands, all have different jobs. But OXO is our workhorse and has replaced the cheap pans and pots that we received or bought when the price could not be resisted. To begin, this cookware looks as advertised, professional, feels durable, and weighs in with substance. These are no flimsy saucepans/pots. The 1.7-quart weighs-in, pot and lid, at about 1,445 grams, that’s about 3 pounds and 3 ounces; now, without the lid, 935 grams, or about 2 pounds 1 ounce; and, the lid alone weighs in at 510 grams, that’s about 1 pound and 2 ounces. The 3.3 quart is hefty too, pot and lid weigh in at about 2,012 grams, that’s about 4 pounds and 7 ounces; now, without the lid, the pot weighs in at about 1,375 grams, or about 3 pounds ½ ounce; and, the lid alone weighs in at 637 grams, that’s about 1 pound and 6 ounces. We like cookware that weighs-in and feels as good as these do. No lightweights for us please. These weigh more than some of our 5-ply. However, it’s the glass lids which make-up a lot of the weight, versus those 5-ply have stainless steel lids. The glass lids, however, do not have lids, but we think you can cook on lower heat, which can save money. We appreciate their overall appearance; we think they have a modern look and have a nice shiny finish. We found this cookware to heat easily and has even temperature distribution. The tri-ply allows reasonably fast heat conduction, with that sandwiched aluminum core. We could not detect any high or low temperature spots. We also found them somewhat easy, for being stainless steel, to care for and to have the bonus of being dishwasher safe. The handles do not get hot to the touch while in use. All the hardware, including the handles, are thick and have a solid feel. No bending, warping or wobbling when we pick these up. We think these saucepans/pots are the way to go, the only thought we have is that they do weigh-in on the heavy side, with those lids, not an issue though, because these are so effective, that we find we can cook at lower temperatures. We also think that having a pour spout, especially on the smaller 1.7 quart would really have been a thoughtful engineered-in feature. Also, we have seen similar with deep fryer inserts. That would have been over the top awesome. [I have not seen that as an option to buy.] Bottom-line We buy this brand because we like & trust this brand. OXO, a brand we like to buy. We get what we pay for, and we are willing to pay for this great quality. We were not disappointed, rather, very happy with selecting these. Truly a great choice for our needs. We hope you found our thoughts and pictures useful in any decision.

I knew something was amiss the minute I opened the box.
I knew as soon as I opened the box that I had been sent a used/returned item. The OXO packaging is torn, but the worst part are dents and scratches on the OXO 5 Quart stockpot. On September 10 I ordered an OXO 1.5 Quart and 3 Quart Stockpot. This was wrapped very securely, in fact, I was so impressed I planned to write a good review. How can the same company do things so dishonestly. No one even bothered to tape the torn covering. I am glad because I was so trusting, I would have not inspected closely. I cannot accept a damaged product like this! I have no way to take a picture.

Easily the best pans I've ever used. Expensive, but worth it.
The media could not be loaded. These are unequivically the best small pans that I have ever owned. They are heavy, well-built, and have a SOLID construction. The rivets have an extremely strong and solid connection with the pans. After using this daily for a full four months, I am under the impression that these pans will last forever. These are easy to clean with just a sponge: I rarely use the scoring side of our double-sided sponge. Just about everything cleans easily from these pans, even when food is overcooked. Since there is no lining of foreign materials on this pan, I feel that this is much safer to consume food cooked in these pans. I am 100% satisfied with these pans and would recommend them to anyone. They are quite EXPENSIVE, however, after using these for so long, I can clearly see why they cost so much and will admit that the cost is justified. I've attached a video to this review so you can see what these look like. I hope this review helps someone.

Dishwasher
Really love these pans can go in the dishwasher AND are metal utensil safe. They work excellent on our induction stove top. Very happy with these pots and the easy clean up. True to OXO brand.

Good, but Not Perfect
I think OXO is headed in the right direction with these pans, but they haven't quite perfected them yet. My everyday pans are older All-Clad. I picked up these OXO pots to use on a rocket stove outside because I didn't want to mess up my more expensive pots. I have cooked a few items with them inside on our stove and the performance is similar to the All-Clad. I like that the lids are glass so you can watch while the food cooks, but I don't like the knobs. They look clunky, and you can't slip them over the handle of the pan for storage on a hanging pot rack like I can with my others, which is a big drawback for me. In the video they show the lids hanging from the tip of the pot hook. My pans hang too high up to make that practical, and they hang alongside each other, front touching back, not flat on a wall as shown. The lids are also harder to clean underneath than a metal lid. It didn't really matter to me that they are flat and not domed. These pans are very heavy, which is good in some ways for cooking, but bad if you have arthritis. My husband says he likes them because, while they are heavy, they are better balanced than the All-Clad. He also thinks that the rivets holding on the handle are easier to clean because they are more flat. I found the cleaning aspect to be no different myself. I'm not a fan of the brushed finish either. I like my pans shiny, which does not seem to be an option offered by OXO. Overall, nice pots, but make sure they suit your needs and storage space.
