Orioles locken an – Orioles lieben Traubengelee.

Flipped upside down constantly until I made two modifications...
This is a great concept with a fatal flaw---it flips upside down! Assembly is fairly easy but there were no instructions included. It took me a minute to figure out exactly how to place the plastic links in the proper station, which is a smallish, unremarkable square area. You see, the links can clip on to the edge of the feeder anywhere, but the small square areas provide much needed stability. While the jelly jar was still empty, it never flipped. But as soon as I filled it (only half way) and hung the feeder, it flipped immediately! I was a bit flummoxed! I could not get it to stay in the proper position! Then I took a bit of twist-tie wire and secured the top 1/4 of the jar to the links higher up toward the hook. It hasn't flipped since. But then it rained and the water collected in the dish because the jelly had blocked the drain holes. The water diluted all the jelly so it drained out the drain holes, emptying the feeder completely. The ground below was swarming with ants, yuck. Darn! So, another modification. I added a rain dome to keep water out. So far, so good. I'm really hoping the birds use the jelly feeder because setting the jelly out in an open dish is just too messy and buggy. I do like the built in jelly stirrer on the base and yes, it works. I started to think about the plastic links that come with the feeder and therein lies the rub. The lightest movement makes them collapse together and the weight of the jar flips it. If the plastic links were instead a solid wire, maybe the gauge of a clothes hanger, it would never flip. It couldnt. So, If the orioles like the feeder, I may just make a permanent modification using a clothes hanger wire instead of securing the top of the jar with twist-tie wire. I think the company can do better.

Oriole Feeder
Was easy to put together and a bottle of Grape jelly fits right in, just need to shake the bottle so the jelly spreads into the cup

Jelly feeder
The media could not be loaded. Jelly comes out to a point and then you have turn the little wheel to push more out. I like I can put a whole jar of jelly on there, but it’s gone in two days. There are three small holes in the tray which doesn’t make sense as the jelly will drip through them.

Easy to refill and Orioles Galore!
I love the ease of refilling this oriole feeder - I just screwed on a jar of grape jelly and I had orioles feeding within an hour of hanging this new feeder. Orioles were visiting the hummingbird feeders but once I hung the jelly supply, they only go to it now to feed. You can see from my photos that different colored Orioles visit my feeder, and they wait in the cedars or on the hummingbird swing or fence for their turn. The feeder has a flow control mechanism on the base that I set at almost minimum flow. Awesome addition to my bird watching yard!

Not Sure
I can not write a good review as this only lasted 2 days and not because of how it is made, from the squirrels, they broke it. I never even got a chance to turn the dial to release more jelly, it seemed like it would work great and the first day the orioles were going to it, but then the squirrels came and broke it

Great feeder
I have gone through may different styles in the past that broke, were hard to clean and where difficult to hand. This one I can fill with more than a days worth of food, take it apart to clean as easy as can be and I don't waste and jelly. I have had more than Oreilles feeding - rosy finches and cardinals have come by for a snack too.

Pricey for plastic !
It works ok but the price for something made entirely of plastic is pretty excessive. There’s some that just came into my local hardware chain store (specializing in Tires) that has a nice orange glass bottle for about $13-14 cheaper. Wish I had known they were going to stock them rather than buy this high priced low quality one. Also the plastic makes it light weight and more likely to blow around in the wind. All in all … not that impressed.

This product/feeder sucks! Waste of $ !
There isn't * a stopper! When you fill the container with Grape Jelly it continuously leaks out until it's empty! Then it dries up and is useless for Orioles. Bees might like this feeder but as for Orioles.. forget it. This product gets *1star out of 5stars (imo).
