At first, I thought I liked it OK, but...

...after it sat here a while, I saw it differently. I think, when I first got it, I was suffering a little from confirmation bias that was justifying my decision to buy it. Then, the other day, never having actually used it, I saw it more clearly and it looked orange. (Not one of my favorite colors.) And felt too light and flimsy. And seemed overpriced. So, with not too much time to spare, I returned it. The old canvas shoulder carry-on that I have been using for years is, I realize, a lot more practical. The size and configuration of this bag, seems to me, is about right for a carry-on to use on an overnight trip, so you don't have to check anything. Not big enough for a long trip. Not small enough for something to just stick your snacks and iPad in and stuff under the seat in front of you on the plane. But even for exactly what it seems good for, it feels flimsy to me. Either the leather is just lightweight or it lacks inner, added support that some other small bags have, but, whatever the reason, unpacked, it lies limply flat. Which some may like but I don't. I think, unless you fill it up, it is not going to look or feel the way most people would like. Even though it may be made of great leather, as the promotional material suggests, it looks and feels -- to me -- like something that should be significantly less expensive than it is, even at a "discount".
