Quality lights

Very nice quality metal & glass was thicker or more substantial than previously ordered fixtures. In fact, another set of 2 were purchased.

not an easy replacement

You need to have electrical boxes and the right sized cuts in your drywall before you install otherwise you’ll end up with weird uncentered holes where the lights go. If you’re prepared to do drywall work and move electrical boxes then the rest should be easy but most homes aren’t ready made for this type of light.

Terrible install, but it is once and done, read all instructions CAREFULLY!

I've installed plenty of fixtures/ceiling fans in my lifetime and most are straight-forward. This one was not. It did help immensely to closely read the instructions and notice exactly which *threaded* hole to use for the mounting screw. The instructions call all 4 screws mounting screws, so you just have to assume the ones with the black-knob are for the fixture and the bag with the regular screws are to mount it to the wall. Next, there's slotted holes and threaded holes and I TOTALLY missed to put the the mounting-to-fixture screws through the THREADED hole, just please remember this. I ended up installing this like 3 times because I didn't read the instructions carefully the first 2 times and also because the instructions are not super clear to differentiate the 4 mounting screws that have different purposes, it definitely could have been more clear or detailed. BUT, now that it is installed, it is once and done and the Wife really loves this and I admit, this light looks great installed! It really adds some elegance to our half bath (now I gotta replace that mirror). I used some Edison LED warm white bulbs I got from Amazon; Edison lights in these are the only way to go! I think 4-stars is fair here because you'll probably going to have to redo this at least once because you're not going to get the mounting screws or their exact depth right and it will probably be too long and you have to take everything off and fix the length until you get it right. I wish the instructions were more clear or they could just simply tell you how much to measure for the most common installs and it would have saved me a good bit of time. Next, I did this by myself, but it would have gone immensely easier if I had 2 people. I was able to do all of this while holding it with one hand, while standing on a step stool and screwing all of the wire-nuts on with my other hand. This is a basic-wired black, white and ground wires that your existing feature should have, the wiring was the easy part. Again, please make note of the THREADED holes, that will save you some time after you figure out the length of the screw-depth.

Pretty Light

This Prominence Home Fairendale Bath Vanity is a nice looking light. The black matte finish looks very clean and modern. The glass is clear and pretty as well. I followed the advice of the other reviewers - read the directions and took my time with it. Overall installation was fine. Overall a very good looking and functional vanity light.

My install wasn't too bad - and the light shines bright!

I think I had a better experience with the install than the previous reviewer did. Having learned from past experience about reading - and re-reading - instructions before assembling/installing a product (like that time I assembled a kitchen cart and found an important brace was left off!) I took my time. As a result, I couldn't be more pleased! Just had a plumber replace sinks/bath with matte black fixtures - and this stylish vanity light complements the sleek design of the replacements quite well. The clear shades allow a lot of light to emerge - choose your bulbs well! It's really an attractive fixture and I am pleased with it.

The media could not be loaded. I thought this was super easy to install. I've never done any light fixtures before. What a difference a new light makes!
