Drilled Through Quartz Countertop
The electrical switch for our disposer was on a wall on the other side of the dishwasher so it was mildly inconvenient to use. We had an air switch in our previous home and liked it so figured I'd install one here. The hole saw itself worked fine. Quartz is pretty tough material and this got through it OK. Drilling through it took about 10 minutes. It was helpful to rock the drill slightly to get it to bite and plenty of downward pressure. It seemed to have less abrasive material on the cutting surface after the cut but it certainly did the job. Not sure how many more jobs it'll handle but I only needed this one hole; even with a single use it's undoubtedly less expensive than having a fabricator come over to drill it. The blue cup thing and adhesive that came with it were mostly useless although they helped me get the hole started, as the blue cup serves as a guide. Once the real cutting started the adhesive predictably failed so I replaced it with a ring of plumber's putty, as shown in the picture. A few times during the cut the water got pretty warm and dirty so I sopped it up with paper towels and put fresh water in. All-in-all I'm happy with how it performed and already enjoying the air switch for the disposal.

Works great
I bought this to install 3 sinks that I had to re-drill the faucet holes for. It worked great on the first two, but the post to the drill bit is rounded and it kept sticking and stripping. After the 2nd sink the post was off kilter and it didn’t drill as cleanly. The guide box is great, but I’d suggest to start drilling into the countertop before putting the water into it, as the water will drain out if you put it in before.

Get's the job done
I'm in the midst of a major home renovation and I purchased a double vanity drilled with only 1 hole per sink. My builder and plumber refused to drill it so I decided to handle myself. I purchased this kit and it easily cut four additional holes (2 per side). I'm not sure how many additional holes it will make but I already got my money's worth. Just make sure to pair it with a powerful drill (hammer drill is preferable).

Worked for my one job, in quartz
Used this to install a glass rinser in our quartz countertop. Like another reviewer said, it will work on quartz. Our quartz is about 2" thick. About half way through the hole the diamond etching on the top was worn out, but it was still on the sides, and it still got the job done in about 5 minutes of drilling. This was my first time ever, and I'm very happy with the results. For the price, very happy.

Easy to use even for a first timer!
This was the first time I had done anything like this and was a bit intimidated by the prospect of cutting hole in 1.5" of pristine granite countertop, which was not my own. But there was little reason to be I found out. THE GOOD: It took less than 10 minutes since I took it easy and checked the hole often. Probably will be half that the next time around. All I had to do was keep the drill vertical and make sure it wasn't going off at an angle which the guides helped with initially. It did almost all the work, I put only a little bit of pressure. The weight of the drill and whatever pressure the weight of my hands and arms coming in at a 15 degree angle from horizontal. Which really was not much. It is an abrasive cutter so it just wears away the material that it is rubbing against. Clean cut all the way through except for a 1mm thick piece at the end on about 1/8 of the circle that was about a couple of mm beyond the hole . But not a big deal at all. The core fell right out. Couldn't have been easier. THE BAD: The adhesive was not great and kept coming away from the counter top. I had cleaned the countertop with alcohol and made sure the surface was even. But it was polished, might have been difficult to stick to. It did seem like it stuck pretty well at the beginning, but the water mixed with granite grit seemed to infiltrate the area in about 30 seconds. Between that and the vibration of the drill I had water leaking out the sides fairly soon. No problem, I had another person lightly hold it down and that took care of it. OVERALL: I would say this is an easy project if you take your time and are careful to keep the drill vertical/straight down. Also, flush out the water once it starts getting opaque, seemed to work better with clean water but maybe that was just my perception. Keep the drill at a low RPM, try it and see what you find works. In my case I put my electric hammer drill in the drill setting (no hammering!), low speed and I had the trigger about 20% in. Tool low and I kept feeling the drill wobble. To fast and it seemed like it was just spinning without doing anything useful. For me it was just fast enough that I could barely feel or hear it wobble. YMMV. Part of the reason for the wobble might have been that my hole was not perfectly straight and as the hole progressed I hole saw was touching the cut surfaces a little bit. Can't complain, it worked out really well. Good luck with your projects!

Works as expected
I was able to drill the required hole in my countertop. I do not think this will work for more than one or two holes.
