For those who want a bit left
This thing is what I've been looking for. I have been shaving my head for years. Used an old pair of clippers for the longest time. I began to search the market for battery powered clippers, and was SO CLOSE to purchasing the one we all have seen I'm sure. The battery depletion caused me to pause. I just happened to see these through the algorithm. The weight, and shape are flawless. If you drop these, you have legit butter fingers. There is a rubber-like grip on the back, and the shape fits one's hand effortlessly. The battery seems to be legit as well. I shaved my head in three minutes straight out of the box; it never slowed. You can use the cord to shave in a pinch. You can use it in the shower, though, I don't see the point as you would just make the contact with your skin sticky. The best part... you can pop the blade off, clean out everything in a split second. You can either brush excess hair off with a brush, or rinse it off. I have shaved my head in 2:17 as a test on a full battery. I don't write many reviews, but man this is a winner!

I feel this one is a winner.
My sister cut hair for a living and always cut mine. I’ve always had fine hair so any kind of length was totally unmanageable unless I soaked it with mousse, gel or whatever the fad was at the time. I rarely used anything. I’m now in my 60’s and don’t have as much of that fine hair. When my sister passed I had to find a barber and start paying $16 to $20 per haircut. Sticker shock! I found a barber I liked. Well, I liked the barber the person, but not the barber the barber. It seems I never came away twice with the same haircut. I finally just grabbed by beard trimmer and started wacking my own hair. It came out kind of rough, but was good enough for me and I wasn’t trying to impress anyone. Not bad, but not professional either and it took forever. Doing the back of my head was a real PITA. In order to make my life easier I started hunting for something better. I almost bought one of those round rotating things to cut my hair, but although they seemed like they could do okay on the majority of my scalp, around the ears, neck and such it would be useless and I would still have to use my beard trimmer. I stumbled across this guy and took the chance. It came charged right out of the box, but I went ahead and plugged it in and in thirty minutes it was at full charge. (The light blinks while charging and is solid when done.) My hair was already short so I clipped on the 3mm (about 1/8 inch) comb and went to work. It took about five minutes to do the job. I’ll refrain from saying it looks professional, but it’s not far from it. It’s close enough that it satisfies me and no one will ever give my head a second glance. Much better than my beard trimmer of course and much much quicker and easier. No doubt easier than any standard hair clippers when trying to give yourself a haircut. When ordering I thought the odd shape of this clipper would make it awkward to hold in my hand, but that’s not the case. It’s light, smaller than you would think and easy to grip. I had no problem guiding it around my head to get an even cut. I’m very happy with the end result. It came with a small case for the clippers as well as a small brush to clean the clippers, oil, a charger and nine different combs to attach to the clippers. It came with some little fold out instructions that actually had quite a bit of information. What the parts were. How to take it apart, put together and clean it. Oiling. It included a little chart comparing combs to barber grades (equivalent cutting length). It even tells you how to do around your ears and neck. If I had any complaints it would be that it has this little storage case for the clippers, but nothing to store everything else in. I keep the oil and the brush in the medicine cabinet. I leave the one comb I use attached to the clippers. What to do with the other eight combs? Stick ‘em back in the box and store under the sink. I’m not going to be using them anyway. The charger goes in a drawer. It would have been nice to have a larger storage case that could hold everything. I feel the clippers are a little expensive, but I could find them cheaper no where else. If you’re interested and do find them cheaper then snap them up. Unlike those round clippers available that you drive around your head, (and look like they would take a finger off if you stuck it in there), you can use these clippers to do your neckline and trim around your ears. I understand that by using the different combs you can perform tapers and fades and such. I don’t do any of that and just stick with the one comb. I like to make life as easy as possible. Other than having nothing to store all the stuff in, I am 100% satisfied here. I’ll probably never pull out the other combs anyway. The clippers do a fine job. They won't do the job of a professional, but they do very well and at least I'll have the same haircut every time. Based on other reviews I won’t need the charger too often. The brush and oil will be handily in the medicine cabinet. I feel this one is a winner. Update: I've gotten much better handling this thing since I bought it. It has certainly paid for itself figuring $20 a haircut. I'm extremely happy with this hair clipper and wish I had found it sooner.

Awesome clipper and trimmer with one flaw
This is a great hair clipper and trimmer, solid body and reliable, highly recommended. However, as noted by several reviews here there is one flaw with this product, hair will eventually clog the two blades and the clipper will stop abruptly or pinch giving the impression of a dying battery. The fix I found was to unscrew the two screws and separate the blades to clear the hair build up. You will need a tiny Allen wrench to unscrew the two screws. This appears to be a design flaw in the Remington trimmer.

What more could you want if you want to do it yourself?!
Expectations: I’d been having difficulty scheduling a haircut with my usual go-to hair cut places. (I don’t really require much with a haircut... I just want to clean up my looks). My hair grows faster than a chia-pet, and if I go more than two months without a trim I start looking like a mad scientist. My silver / grey hair starts to get ‘poofy’ - just a kind of wild mess. I usually go to SuperCuts to get a #5 on the side with the electric clippers. This takes approximately 12 minutes. The stylist seat doesn’t even get warm! I’m in. I’m out! But, now a days, they have become unreliable. COVID has messed with my grooming. My girlfriend had managed to get her hair stylist, who pretty much exclusively works on women’s, hair to see me. Wow! What a difference! This lady is a miracle worker... If she wanted, she could have a long line of guys who really don’t worry about their looks, but don’t want to appear like someone who has been stranded on Gilligan’s Island for a few years. She actually made me care (for a few days at least!) what my hair looked like. Imagine my dismay when my significant other called to schedule me for a trim and said “savior of my scalp” didn’t respond! I was crushed!!! Now I’m not a rough kind of guy. I didn’t call her ‘Baby’, ‘Pussy Cat’, or anything caveman-like. Honestly, I kept to myself, was polite and thanked her for making me look presentable. I’m totally at a loss why she didn’t respond, but in any event, I was kind of left flapping in the breeze... with this mop of silver/grey hair getting into my eyes. It was time for extreme measures! Enter... the Remington HC4250 Shortcut Pro Self-Haircut Kit!! Review: The kit arrived two days after I ordered it. I was psych’d when Amazon notified me that it was ready for pickup from the post office. Have you ever watched a Warner Brother’s Road Runner cartoon? That was me when I was notified. Beep Beep, and a cloud of dust. I was at the post office before the dust had settled. Initial Impressions: Upon opening my parcel, I was presented with a nondescript box labeled with the contents. Don’t expect to be getting a package that has any marketing on it. (Who really cares? Not me!) Upon opening the package I was presented with quite a bit of plastic bags full attachments as well as the clippers. Folks, this box is packed with stuff. Actually more stuff than I would ever intend to use! I’m not sure what everything in the package does... I was more interested in getting my hair cut. Full disclosure / transparency... I have no clue on how to cut hair. It didn’t occur to me to look for a Flow-bee. I was in liquidation mode - everything had to go. So, I took the 1/16” plastic attachment (and charged the clipper for 10 minutes, out of the box) and had at it!! An Unexpected Turn of Events: So, here I am in the kitchen with my new clippers, sheering my scalp like a sedated sheep, when my family comes into the room and becomes fascinated. No sooner had I mowed a line from the back of my neck to approximately my eyebrows, when they want to get involved! “I want a try!” They said. At this point I didn’t think it would matter much, so I felt, ‘heck, go for it!’ A fun time was had by all. I think at this point I had spent less on the clippers than I would have a night of wholesome entertainment. Actually, if you ever get in the predicament that I was in it may be a bit uncomfortable... I don’t think I could have actually stopped them from totally revealing my scalp. There was some sort of savage intensity that wouldn’t be satiated without every follicle cut. It was a Scorched Earth plan. I can’t complain. I’m happy with the outcome. In summary - This product works great! Would I recommend it? Absolutely... The price is less than a hair cut. If you are seriously looking to style your hair and you don’t know how... Avoid! If you don’t have any talent, you will end up like me... bald. (But I’m good with that!!!). I had a great evening of family fun at my expense. I’ll probably do it again in 4 months.

Highly recommend, this is definitely a money saving tool
I have had this clipper for 1.5 years now and I still love it. It cuts my hair evenly and quickly and saves me the trip/money of going to a barber. It's definitely paid for itself a few times over. Some recommendations though: 1. Start on longest hair setting, work your way down. You will be overwhelmed if you shave too much off...trust me! 2. Be gentle around the back of the head and the neck, I have a tendency of going too fast and rough around that area and it will definitely leave marks. Just be really gentle and slow and you'll be fine. 3. Get one of those barber mirrors, see whats going on at the back of your head 4. Follow the instruction book for care and maintenance. I have done that and I have had zero issues with battery life or performance. Highly recommend, I am very happy with this purchase.

Not Worth it at all
It slows down after a while and the light won't turn on. I contacted customer service and they cannot take it back replaced it with a new one. For this price , it is not worth an investment. If you only wanted ony to work for a few months, that's a good idea!

Excellent way to give yourself an even haircut.
Excellent way to give yourself an even haircut between those trips to the barber. I had been looking at reviews for some time now looking for a way to give myself a basic, even haircut at home. There are other models of these types of cutters that have a round-style cutting blade, but the main complaint that most people have is that it generally gives a very un-even cut, so I decided against getting one of those and getting this from Remington. I was not disappointed. First of all I was surprised on the size and how comfortable it felt in my hand. It is very easy to use in either hand and I can get everywhere around my big head very easily. It also comes with a metric ton of different size attachments. I actually read another review by someone who gave it a bad review simply because there were too many attachments which I found pretty funny. If you don't need the other ones, put them in a bag and throw it in a closet somewhere and just keep the ones you want/need. You might need the other ones later. A haircut with this takes me 5-8 minutes depending on how long my hair is and how much trimming I need to do around the edges. It does a very good job. You might need to do more than one pass over an area if it is very long, but it only takes a few seconds more. It is also great that it is completely water proof, making clean up super quick if you did a lot of cutting with it. Also great to have when you just need a quick cut before going out with friends/family. Also saves you a ton of time/money by eliminating trips to the barber. Also this is great for use on kids depending on the haircut. A friend has two boys who both have short hair cuts and he bought the Remington to save money on the family budget going to the barber with them. He loved it so much that he uses it now too. It works great using it by yourself and also works great using it to give someone else a haircut. Worth every cent I paid.

Not bad at all! Happy.
Not bad job ah? See Photo. I did a lot of YouTube video research on this and other clippers and how to cut your own hair before buying. Very important that you get lessons on cutting procedure. YouTube has great stuff. So it works great and as advertised. Will still probably go back to my barber as he has better stories then I tell to myself and i heard all mine before.

Excellent
Just bought a 2nd one of these in case something happens to the first one. Absolutely fantastic and pays for itself after 2 haircuts. It's a no brainer.. Very easy to use. You need to stand in front of a mirror then hold another mirror behind you to do the back of the head. Can get barber style mirrors from ebay fairly cheap. I use it to keep the back and sides tight and can get a better result than some of the barbers I've been to with no cost and no waiting. Cant compare this to other head shavers as it's the only one that I have used but cant see how it could be any better hence the purchase of a second one. Some reviewers have mentioned that the combs break easily if dropped so have been careful not to drop them. Battery life is very good and have had no issues one year on but to be honest it has paid for itself many times over so if it packs in tomorrow I will happily buy another.
