With 2 hacks - THE best hair product ever
If you read the reviews like most here, you have a good idea of the pros & cons of Reuzel Pink. I echo the general consensus - personally this stuff is my favorite hair product ever. I’ve tried at least 30 different products, of different types (clays, creams, pomades, fibers) from various manufacturers over the years - none of them touch Reuzel Pink. However, the two consistent knocks I read is that Reuzel Pink is a pain to wash out of your hair and off your hands - They are not wrong. I keep medium length hair that is fairly thick and wavy at about 6 inches on the top. I need control with some pliability, something that doesn’t dry out or cause flakes, the ability to re-style, smells good, and gives a look of healthy hair. Reuzel Pink is perfect for all of this. And I love this product so much that I dove in to how to make it more livable, meaning how the hell do I easily get this stuff off my hands and out of my hair when I need to? So, about those hacks to work around these cons... To wash this stuff off your hands, use a mechanics soap like Fast Orange Hand Soap. It seems excessive to have to buy a different soap just to wash hair product off your hands, but these kinds of orange pumice soaps are great in general. Chances are, if you work on cars you’re already familiar with soaps like these. This kind of soap smells great and easily gets Reuzel Pink product off your hands because it’s meant to eliminate grease and oil. As far as easily washing this out of your hair, Reuzel themselves have addressed this. If you search Reuzel Degrease Formula, you’ll find their instructions. Their daily hair conditioner on its own is a great conditioner. The peculiar thing here is that Reuzel instructs you to first apply the conditioner to DRY hair for a few minutes, then rinse it out. Next, Reuzel has a green scrubbing shampoo and a daily shampoo they recommend you use to finish this routine, in that order. I’ve done this and I like those products as well - but I think the key is applying the Reuzel conditioner to dry hair, before shampooing. I don’t always use the green scrubbing shampoo, as the daily shampoo seems sufficient. I also haven’t tried this with other conditioners, but I have used other shampoos with similar success. For me, this makes the Reuzel conditioner a must have, and the Reuzel shampoos as “nice-to-haves.” I don’t ever let myself get down to my last bottle of this conditioner before reordering. So those are workarounds for the only two cons I consistently see regarding this product. Yes, it takes more effort, but I’ve had both men and women stop me to ask what product I use. I’ve never had that happen wearing anything besides Reuzel Pink. I believe that kind of recognition speaks for itself. Hope this helps someone enjoy this stuff.

Grease!
Grease based so some of it will eventually run down onto your forehead, esp if it is hot. Pleasant, light smell of bubble gum. After 8 or so hours it's not as strong (which is to be expected) but still a firm hold propably owing to the beeswax. Somtimes very small white clumps form. Difficult to wash out even the next day. Overall a very good grease based product, will set you apart from guys who don't use grease.

Great hold and right amount of shine. Heavy, however.
Great scent and holds hair firmly in place. The amount of shine is good and a little goes a long way. It's a bit hard to rinse off your hands, however, and is a bit gunky. It can sometimes cause the hair to fall flat if you put too much on due to its heavy nature. Use sparingly and you'll be good or unless you have super thick hair.

Great hold!
Holds hair without greasy look. Only downfall is cleaning it off your hands takes some work. Highly recommend!

A little goes a long way
This stuff will hold your hair up in a hurricane! Very dense, but (for me) hard to get out of container. This product will hold your hair in any spike, hawk, or up-dp you choose. Nice smell too.

DONT THINK JUST BUY
Smells amazing hold amazing shine amazing

Smells amazing, zero hold. At all. In any way whatsoever.
Right out of the box and I couldn’t wait to review it. First impressions are as follows: it smells effin o-mazing. I’ve seen people say “bubblegum” in the reviews but I’ve never chewed bubblegum that smells like roses so I can’t agree with that. It has a very rose-like quality but somehow still a very masculine scent. I can’t put my finger on it exactly. Maybe like roses mixed with a fog machine. Anyway, I have also seen a whole lot of complaints about “ermegherd I can’t wash it off my hands it took like eleventy thousand minutes to wash off” well that’s probably because you’re a special kind of dumb or you have shitty soap ok. Also getting it out of the can and into my hair was not nearly as challenging as I’ve read. I simply scraped a bit out with the back of my fingernail and then emulsified in my hand, duh, then rubbed it in my towel dried/damp hair. No biggie. Also it wipes right off on a hand towel or whatever you use for shaving which is what I used. I combed it in with the wide side of the comb, blow dried, and voila. I think it’s great on all counts so far. Trial period to see how it treats my scalp over time. That’s the kicker for me. Everything breaks my head out eventually except for shu uemura products, but they are very expensive and they also discontinued my two favorite products so that’s why I began my search for a tried and true alternative. I’m 100% impressed so far. I’ve avoided this stuff since I started training my hair for this style due to the petro base but there is really no data to support the idea that it’s bad for your hair or scalp or whatever aside from, yes, if you don’t wash well it could build up and possibly cause some blocked follicle issues, allegedly. I’m happy for now. I was happy with O’Douds multi purpose too until it started leaving flakes in my hair that look like dandruff. Hence the need to investigate some other products. Thanks for reading. Blessings on your journey. Edit: I have been using this for several days now. Pros: all of the above is still true. And this product relieved the itchy scalp and flakes from the O’Douds product, but... Con: zero hold. I’m talking zero. Like none. At all. In any way. Wish it had better hold bc I like everything else about it. Sighhh and on to the next

nearly PERFECT
So I have been looking for a perfect hair product for years. I am rocking a classic side part with a low fade and I just can’t get the perfect product. I tried cheap products lke schwarzkopfs pastes and few bit expensier like the layrite or suavecito. I liked ones more than the other’s but there was always something bothering me. Either too sticky, or too dry, or weird texture or whatever. I like the little “wet” look of the hair which also stays and holds. This thing is nearly perfect, perfect for styling, holding, it actually lasts the whole day (even more; I’ll elaborate in a wee second), the look is fantastic. Now the really one thing I hate. WASHING THIS THING OFF YOUR HAIR IS SO DIFFICULT. It feels like washing out some sticky industry paste, like stuff your mechanic guy would use to fix your car. After 3 days washing my hair everyday, there was still a tiny bit of it left, I could feel it. And I haven’t even use that much of it to style my hair. If it wasn’t for that - 5 star, no questions asked. Just that one thing is a real bummer, deffo won’t be using it daily, maybe occasionally just. Too much effort with cleaning it out of your hair. If it wasn’t for that - would be the perfect product.

Best balance of petroleum-based hold and restyle out there.
Reuzel Pink Grease is an excellent finishing pomade (or main pomade if you have heavier/less fluffy hair than mine). For a slick and controlled look that can be restyled throughout the day, it was the best I've tried by far (comparable petroleum-based products like Uppercut Monster Hold don't maintain anywhere near the hold and restyle/refresh workability as Pink Grease. I find that preparing your hair with a small amount of Reuzel Grooming Tonic makes it very easy to wash out if you prefer to shampoo daily - that way you're not forced to build the product up over a couple of days like the traditional pomp/greaser style. Definitely my go-to.

Good hold - smells lush
Definitely recommended! The hold keeps hair in place, but reworkable if needed. Not too greasy. Washes out reasonably. Has a vanilla smell which is not over powering. Only thing I would say, is the tin I purchased wasn't that big (35g). It's lasting a while as I don't need to use a lot; however, it may be worth investing in the bigger size if you use lots.

Hard to remove and incapable to style
1. It is very hard to spread out 2. It looks so oily and it is 3. It doesn’t form my hairs, it literally just looks like wet hair with no styling function 4. It is extremely hard to remove, I can’t even entirely remove it after three times of shampoo I’ve been a big fans of reuzel, but I wouldn’t recommend this one

I was always a Reuzel fan and tried the green, blue, and pink pomade, but pink was always my favourite. It has an even better durability than the other ones, excellent hold and shine, setting a golden standard in the world of pomades. Used well, it gives insane pompadours. For me it works best when my hair are just slightly dump, three small/medium scoops is enough. It has a candy-like sweet smell. From my experience, I would recommend this pomade for people with slightly longer hair, not necessarily to beginners due to its hold which requires some skill when applying to hair and making the pompadour. (Green Reuzel has less hold.) In a month I used up about one sixth of the can.
