It is plastic , not rubber and it has the wide part aimed at the sink to drain.

I had hoped that being a Rubbermaid product it would be like a former one of rubber that lasted long. It is plastic and we will see how it does. I wished it was draining on it's narrow end as that would fit my sink better. The rack I bought with it seems fine..and fits ok.

Great for the price

This dish strainer fits the bill….it is easy to clean, and so far it hasn’t stained, but that maybe because I wipe up extra water puddles.

Lightweight

While this drain board is fully functional I was disappointed at how light and flimsy it is. I was expecting it to be like the Rubbermaid products of the past. It’s so light it won’t stay put and I end up with water on the cabinet. Disappointing.

I bought this one for the antimicrobial properties. My Amazon search did not bring up the larger sized one, which is the size I want and need. This one is a third of the weight of the 20yr old Rubbermaid version it replaced. it feels as if it could be easily knocked off the counter. I gave it 3 stars because of this. If it lasts as long, I'll be very happy. Its much too soon to rate it for durability, so I did not. I will update my review in a few months. I was very disappointed to see it advertised on sale for $6 less, right after I received mine.

DESIGNED very well!

After reading the reviews, I almost didn't buy this drain board. So glad I IGNORED them and bought it anyway. It's large and fits underneath the large Rubbermaid drainer I bought at the same time - both in white. With regard to the water back flowing underneath the drainboard IF you don't have a sink that's mounted underneath the counter, that's simply wrong. My sink is copper farmhouse size sink and sits ON the countertop. All of the water runs off the lip and into the sink-NOT backward onto the counter. The drain board is designed well and it's higher on the backside than in the front and the water has no trouble running out of it into the sink. Do keep in mind some of the photos show VERY old think lips on their sinks. Bottom line is never make reviews the only reason to buy or decline to buy anything.

It's kind of sad in a way

So I've been a Rubbermaid dish drainer guy for 45 years. This new unit is different than all the rest. They used to be some kind of weird synthetic rubber, and they lasted a while before falling apart. Now it's rigid plastic, which is okay, but with two caveats: it's very light gauge, and one inch smaller in one horizontal dimension. Come on, did you have to cheap out quite that badly? It's probably a superior material, but it's a little too thin and a little too small.

buen complemento

es buen complemento para un escurridor pequeño, es muy fácil de limpiar y el material es bueno, sin embargo sería genial que en vez de comprarlo por separado hubiera venido con el escurridor

Muy útil

Compramos un escurridor en el súper y después nos dimos cuenta que no tenía bandeja. Compramos esta y le quedó perfecto, además de que la inclinación es ideal si la pones a un lado del lavabo para que ahí escurra el agua.

Esto es una porquería de plástico que encuentras en cualquier tienda con lo que costó me hubiera comprado un escurridor completo de trastes. Primer artículo que NO RECOMIENDO
