Difficult to get apart to install

I'm glad that they do not jiggle off when the toddler attempts to open a door, but I wish they were a bit easier to get apart and install. Maybe ship them already apart? I have to use a flathead to push the pieces down as I pull it apart.

What a stress reliever. If you have a toddler that is constantly getting in where they shouldn't be then you seriously need these. Work great.

Matches oil rubbed bronze hardware well

We have oil rubbed bronze hardware and was looking for something instead of the typical white. This works well and draws less attention to the door knob than white would.

They do what they were designed to do..

So as far as putting it on the door super easy I did it while fighting a 2 year old for the door knob. But these do come together already and they are so hard to get apart. I havent even tried taking it off the door knob. I am a woman but I've always had very strong hands like very strong. And I could not get this thing apart for the life of me. So I left all 4 on the counter for the husband to do, he got one open and said his hands hurt he will try again another time. This is the 2nd set I ordered as the first set from a different company fit too tight on my doorknobs where the toddler could still open the door. Good luck parents!

I wish I had known of this product when our four year old daughter started exiting her room years ago. Now that the family has grown to include three children, it became a bit much for my wife and I to try to keep our four year old and her almost two year old brother in each of their rooms. Earlier this week, while at work, my stay-at-home wife and mother to our three children sent me a link to this product. I read the reviews, to include the negative ones, and ordered the product. Last night, the devices arrived. Last night was also the first night in ages we didn't have children wondering out of their rooms. This product immediately works! Reflecting on the comments of others, these covers do not come apart super easy. However, rather than walk back downstairs for my toolbox, I removed my wedding band (a plain white gold band and nothing fancy) and used it to assist me separate each of the small yet tight clasps. It took about a minute or so to separate the first one and about a minute or so to separate the second. Installation took mere seconds. After installing the devices, I went back downstairs and didn't tell a soul. The truth was at bedtime after our children had been put to bed. Of course, as you would expect, they tried to each sneak out of their rooms with plans to wreak havoc, while my wife, their baby brother (7 months) and I, relaxed in our room. Each immediately yelled in horror when they discovered they could not exit their room(s). We checked the cameras installed in each of their rooms and they eventually gave up and went to bed. Certainly, the most peaceful night of sleep we have had in a while. Have I tried to remove a cover from the door knobs? No. Do I care whether it will be difficult to remove them years down the road? No. To keep these children in their room(s) at bedtime, without exploring the house and getting into trouble is well worth the hassle of any future pains needed to remove the covers.
