Magnet Too Weak
The magnet is very disappointing. It is extremely small and weak. It seems to barely have the strength to pick up a paper clip. I would recommend that you add a stronger magnet.

Made For Larger Hands
I ordered this for my mom who recently had back surgery. She can't bend or twist for 3 mos. The occupational therapist highly recommended this grabber. It is very lightweight but there's quite a reach from the handle to the "trigger". My mom has to scoot her hand all the way to the top of the handle in order the reach the trigger. Other than that she says its been very helpful.

started out nice but...
15inch one: Overall, with practice, I love it. I can reach most things but there's always something right at my feet that I just need a little more to reach with. The 15" one is perfect for this. If you're unable or barely able to bend at all, go for the longer ones to pick up light to med weight items, like a soda can or med water bottle. Cons: Over time, you learn that this thing having sharp corners that can grab anything, was nice to have...Then you learn that the corners catch on EVERYTHING. If you use the gripper to grab a bottle and drop it in a loose bag, the corners catch on the sides of the bag or any other thing it can catch on. It takes a little practice. Then there's the part of the gripper/hand that moves (the teeth or hand part), might be bent to the side (just a little) and won't grab correctly. it's HOW you hold it that it works correctly. If it twists, the hooked grabber can misalign and drop the item. When it works, it works great. It's a pretty solid reacher but it has too many corners that grab on to everything that you don't want it to grab (if you're not used to it). I bought a second once I got used to it. PRO: This one is far superior to grab smaller items vs other reachers.

Grippers
Needed a smaller gripper when I'm sitting in my wheelchair. The jaws that do the picking up seems a little off and not guite as responsive as my bigger grippers.

Very easy to use
I like that it's easy to use, that it's light weight and that they fit in small spaces cause they're only 15 inches long. I love it. I have two of them now.

It picks up a dime!!!!!!!!! Could not believe my eyes when it did.

Does not work most of the time.
Unfortunately this does not work as good as the RMS Reacher, which I now have 6. I needed a shorter reacher because it would be nice to pick up a dropped item and place it back on my lap. Since RMS does not provide anything shorter than 26" I tried the Sammons 15" and while the length is good unfortunately it just does not grab as well and I end up using the RMS and positioning myself far enough away t pick up but close enough to a surface where I can lift the item to.
