Takes on a yellow cast when dry

For the most part, I like this product. In fact, I've purchased it twice. However, if you're looking for an absolutely clear finish, don't buy this. It yellows as it dries. and gives a yellowish cast to anything beneath the finish. I wasn't happy when a winter snow scene turned into a scene with yellow snow, if you get my drift. (puns intended). Otherwise, it's a beautiful finish with just the right amount of sparkle that doesn't look cheap.

Not The Same

Very disappointed and left with no good substitute. Loss of an entire project. I can't use this product. It is awful - dries yellowish - lot #B120641. Not at all the same product that I've used before, which dried with no discoloration - lot #B123097.

It turns yellow fairly quickly

It dries clear but within a couple weeks it had turned to a yellow tint. This would be fine for children's crafts but I would not recommend it for anything special or important.

I *HEART* This Glaze!

REMEMBER WHEN the only glitter available for arts and crafts was just too big and too chunky and way too heavy to stick effectively? Too little of this bulky glitter, and your project has, "bald spots"...too much and your project looks rough (and just plain tacky, tacky, tacky)...and in either case it ultimately just keeps falling off until there's little, if any, of it left. Well, no more! The glitter in this varnish is so fine that one could hardly call it glitter at all -- this is, "fairy dust," pure and simple. AND THE COLOR! It's, "opal-escent"...it's beautiful, almost holographic. I'd venture to say that this is a very good answer to the oft asked question: "It's missing something, but WHAT?" I have to admit that I was dubious when I read the product description.... I've not had good luck with, "glitter glue" at all, and Sargent Glitter Glaze sounded very similar (only instead of clear glue as a carrier, it's clear acrylic varnish). However, in this case, I was (oh so!) pleasantly surprised. Whether you're a painter, dollhouse builder, teacher, scrap-booker or all-around general crafter, you need this product in your arsenal of creative equipment -- if you love (love, love!) ultra-fine glitter, I promise that you will NOT be disappointed.

Very pretty, easy to apply and clean up.

This is a great product to use for paper crafting of all sorts. The acrylic base is transparent and highly 'glittered' with very fine, almost opalescent glitter. The glitter is well distributed so you get an even coat of glitter on whatever you are applying it to. The first bottle I received was unusable in that the contents had solidified and could not be stirred or shaken. Amazon quickly replaced it with a fresh bottle and it works perfectly. I've only applied it with a paint brush so far, but would like to try diluting it and spraying through a mister bottle. It may be too sticky for that.

WAY TOO MUCH GLITTER

If your looking for a little sparkle to enhance your art, this isn't for you. One coat over powered the entire piece making it hard to see what was underneath. I had to cut it in half with a regular varnish & still get a ton of green glitter.

Perfect glaze

Perfect for what I was wanting it for. It added just the right amount of shimmery glitteriness (if that’s a word) to small ceramic Christmas trees that I painted for Christmas gifts for my coworkers. I can’t wait to use it in more applications in my crafting.

Excellent

This is a awesome product. The sparkle depends on the thickness of the paint. Can use this as it is to get a very glittery item. But I diluted it with some water and applied to my finished felt and paper project. Result was amazing. Will buy again for sure if I run out of this bottle.

Glitter Glaze big hit.

I love this glitter glaze, dries fast and the glitter does not come off. Has a very greenish tint to the glitter, not silver. As well a little goes along way!
