Great visibility all hours of the day or night. Good lighting effects.
The media could not be loaded. Chose the fluorescent yellow-green as it is the most recognized safety color on the road. Have a safety vest of the same color, and the two match about the same spectrum. Have also worn the Schwinn Insight ERT without the vest on a recumbent trike and think a safety vest helps to get more noticeability in the daylit hours, or as the sun in setting. The color does no good at night, and Schwinn did not include any safety reflectors or peel-off types in the package. - I do recommend adding reflective material around all sides of the helmet. One thing I do miss is not having a 4-magnet face shield as an option that I have from another helmet. Will state though, Schwinn's fitting, straps, and adjustment is far superior to any bicycle helmet I have owned in the past 20+ years. I have a 61 to 62 cm large oval head. Have plenty of adjustment room in their webbing, and the fit is far more comfortable than other name brands I have owned. The interior waffle absorbers are quite noticeable when turning the helmet over and feel quite secure. Wearing I do not notice them unless I press down and wiggle the helmet. The webbing is wide enough, and the clasp snaps in well with no wiggling. Am impressed there. In the back of the helmet is an adjustment knob about the size of a 25¢ coin. Unsure of the battery size or just how long the LEDs will flash on each of the settings. I do know the LEDs do work 1 1/2 hours of constant use. Have gotten looks and positive comments on the helmet as I rode through the local parks, more so after the sun has set. Riding home people have mentioned the LEDs being eye-catchy, even a quarter of a mile away. The battery charges up slowly. There are two spring loaded prongs inside the housing that make contact with two small square pads under the helmet. This housing only goes in one way. It can be frustrating getting both corners aligned and in deep enough to lower the smaller end with the locking clasp. Takes a few tries to get used to how it feels when installing it back into the helmet. Unsure if Schwinn offers extra battery/LED housings for extended rides as a separate purchase. Will add the housing is not waterproof, and not resistant as it stands on receiving. There is a gap where the probes come out that can get wet. The consumer may want to purchase a small tube of silicone sealant to rectify potential water damage to the inner working of said housing. Schwinn's Insight LED Lighted ERT helmet rides well, even on a laid-back recumbent trike. Do miss not having a magnetic face shield up front for more sun & bug protection I had no issues wearing glasses with the helmet or adjustment straps. The helmet fit very well with plenty of neck strap. Indubitably I do highly recommend this Schwinn Insight LED Lighted ERT to be seen day or night.

size large isn't as large as I like, lights are pretty bright
My head is large, but not XL. I wear hat size 7.5, which is 60cm in circumference. This helmet is slightly too small for me. The sides are snug with the adjustment band loosened all the way. More importantly, the height is shallower than other bicycle helmets and more of my head is exposed even when the top of my head is firmly pressed against the inside of the helmet. Weight of this helmet is 11 ounces, compared to 8 ounces for another helmet that I own. The extra weight is noticeable on my head. I presume that most of that weight is for the lighting system. Most other lighted helmets that Amazon sells have a simple light that clips on to the back of the helmet. This helmet is much fancier with an array of lights and all the wiring built into the helmet itself. The lights cover a wide are of the front and back of the helmet and appear brighter than with other helmets. There are a few different lighting modes with the very obnoxious mode hopefully giving you a better change of attracting the attention of distracted drivers. Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not say how long the battery lasts. I will try to add that information after I do more testing. For the price, this helmet is pretty nice. I just wish the large was larger.

Comfortable, Well Light - Excellent Visibility
Got this for my girlfriend - her head circumference was right on the edge of a Medium or Large almost exactly at 22-3/4". We were went for the large, and were pleased to find that there's plenty of adjustability for this to fit her head well and is still comfortable. The lighting features on this make the helmet very visible at night from both the rear and the front, and it looks cool. The removable piece in back to charge it is kind of a hassle to get back in - it's just finnicky to get it just right, but the trade-off is that it's secure and doesn't seem likely to accidentally fall out if it's put in right. This is her first bike helmet, and she really likes it.

This is a great helmet with good lighting as safety protection
The media could not be loaded. This is a great helmet with good lighting features as a safety precaution. I have a head circumference of 23" so I got the Large size which fits great. Its a stylist helmet with one key feature...built in safety lights. Pros: + Stylist helmet that fits great + Safety lighting with 3 light modes: 1. Always on 2. Flashing 3. Strobe + Quick charge that uses a micro USB port for charging + Easily adjustable width by turning a dial to make it tighter + Easy to adjust length of straps that go under your chin Cons: - Doesn't include a micro USB cable but given the amount of cable, it should be easy to find one - The straps are a bit thin...should have used higher quality straps to go with this great helmet The cons don't diminish the value of this great helmet, nor does it warrant taking stars away. This is a 5 star helmet that give you visibility protection while riding your bike.

Flashy back end
The media could not be loaded. The helmet has a nice fit. The adjustable back end allows fine tune adjustments to the overall tightness of the helmet. The straps and not as easy as others to adjust but once you get it set your good. Now if your a night rider the back end of the helmet really lights up and really helps for visibility.

Good helmet
This fits well and is adjustable to make it a snug fit. The lights on the back are good for night riding. It has a lot of spaces in the top that allows for good circulation.
