Fun, but not a great value.

This was a birthday present for my daughter, and since we have made these type of products before, I expected to get a lot of use out of it. This is a great kit if you have not made these products before, or if you don't have the basic ingredients already. Since I have baking soda, oatmeal, European clay, citric acid and salt in my cupboards already (and the kit comes with about $5 worth of these ingredients) and keep essential oils (the oils in the kit are synthetic- maybe $3 worth) the only benefits are the jars and directions. It would be great for a little girl's party, if you get extra jars (the kit comes with maybe four 1 ounce jars and two 4 ounce jars).

Messy fun!

I bought this for my 10 year old daughter. We recently had several snow days and this kept her and my 14 year old daughter entertained all day. You'll need some ingredients from your own kitchen, such as bananas, honey and blueberries. I think it's a great introduction to "kitchen beauty" but I think should have included more information explaining the science behind what makes the ingredients good for your skin. But still, it's inspired her to learn and try more things on her own. Most most importantly, she had fun and it was good to see them getting along as sisters. I wouldn't have bought it at the full retail price of $29.99 though.

My duaghter received this for Christmas and loved it. She and her friend had an amazing time using it and it was a fun way to incorporate science into a play date. I wish it had taken a little more time and had a little more to it but overall was a great product.

Spa kit

This was very easy to use, but you very quickly run out of ingredients. Also some of the recipies need to be adjusted, things come out way to thick or to thin. There is also not enough ingredients to do more than a couple of the redipes in the book. Overall my daughter had a good time with it, we are still looking for more citric acid.

Be sure to check the back of the box at the bottom for the "use by" date. I purchased this kit July 2020 and the expiration date is January 2019!! Great. My daughter had already started using the spa kit before I noticed this or I would have returned it. This is a large box with very little in it. You need to add a lot of household items and grocery items to make this spa kit work. And you had better like honey and oats because that it what is in the majority of the recipes. In fact, the recipes are quite repetitive. For example, there 8 masks recipes with oats and honey as the base. There is 1 very basic bath bomb recipe and no bath bomb mold is included. Good luck mixing citric acid and baking soda with water ( 'cause its gonna fizz immediately) and then shaping into a cube with your hands. Overall, this kit seems outdated, cheap and not a good time. I mean where are the soap jellies, shower dough, sugar scrub soaps. lotion cubes, etc? These are the types of things my daughter is interested in making. My 12 year old did not finish this kit. She got tired of the same honey and oat mask thing over and over again. A kit she liked much better is the Klutz bath and Body set.

scientific spa kit

I bought this kit for my granddaughter's 8th birthday. She loves it! We had foot soaks one evening and she is also looking forward to doing facial masks, body soaks and perfumes. There are many ingredients included for them to use to make a lot of things. I was very pleased with all the capabilities of this product! It does require adult supervision but my daughter was very pleased with it and excited about doing many of the scientific products with my granddaughters!

Super fun spa kit!

This pocket was a blast to do with my kids. My girls (6 & 9) love doing the spa day activities and it was a great way to spend time together and pamper ourselves. It's also a great way to subtly introduce science Concepts and math concepts as they measure out ingredients. Just make sure you have plenty of towels!

Cute idea but product was expired

I thought this would have been a great gift idea and activity for my daughter and her friend but package was expired almost a year so I sent it back, I even ordered one from Target and that one had the same exp date also so I sent that one back too and just ordered something else. I gave at least 3 stars because we didn't even get to try it out.
