Be careful

While I sometimes appreciate having multiple patterns in one package, this time it really bit me! I made what I thought was the men's regular tie and it was way too small. Since I don't have any men's wear in my closet, I didn't know how big it should have been to start with. It seems I used the kid's size by mistake. What a waste of time and material. It's an easy pattern to follow though so I will be making another soon. This time I'll use more care in selecting the pattern pieces I need. One other thing - this pattern is a lot cheaper through Amazon than through the Simplicity site!! I now look for the pattern I want on Simplicity, right down the number and then check Amazon to see if they carry it. And with Prime, there's no shipping charges so it's even cheaper!

Love the pattern - Sizing needed adjustment

This pattern was easy to follow, and the vest and tie turned out beautifully! I don’t know if this is an issue with the pattern or just a consequence of the person wearing it, but I ended up having to take it in quite a bit, though I matched the sizing chart. It ended up being on the shorter side for a 5’11” man with size Medium. Please mark if you find my review helpful. Thank you so much!

The pattern inside was new and clean. The only thing wrong was outside cover had some wear and tear on it, but inside pattern had not been used. had all the pieces intake and was able to make a boys vest and a Men's vest!

This is an excellent pattern. I had never done a lined item before but follow instructions step by step and vest turned out perfectly. Great beginner pattern

Not the professionally-constructed pattern I was hoping for.

I haven't made this yet because I was surprised to see that although 'fully lined', this pattern has no facings so the lining comes right up to the edges all around, and on the collared version, the collar is basically just a tack-on, not a 'real' collar. And the welt pockets are fake! Really quite disappointed as I wanted to take the time to make my husband a good waistcoat out of lovely tweed. I'm either going to have to draft facings and fiddle around with proper welt pockets myself or find another pattern. Such a pity because the shape of the waistcoat was just what I was looking for. The construction is really 'dumbed down'. Boo.
