Very realistic candle with beautiful 3-d movement but remote control is a different topic

I am really torn about this beautiful candle. The first order I put in arrived and I inserted two C batteries and it started working right away. The actual flame movement and the light fluctuations is really like real and the candle itself is made of wax. Looking at it from a distance it is really hard for someone to know that it is not a real candle right away. That was very exciting and I thought what a great product. However, after checking out the remote which feels really cheap, it only worked until I turned off the candle with the remote and the remote failed for good. No matter what I did, including replacing the battery, would not make it work. So, yes you can turn on the candle from the button underneath but cannot control the brightness, flame type and the timer since remote was dead. So, I exchanged it through Amazon and the replacement works beautifully. We loved it so much (even though the remote is still very low quality), we went ordered a bigger size of the same candle for our house. Candle itself is totally worth it but be prepared to be disappointed with the remote

Nice candle, but not my favorite

This is a nice candle, but in my opinion not as realistic as the candles with the flat flames that "dance" on wires. I have many of those and I always get remarks about how realistic they are. Those flames one has to get a really close look to see that it's not real. This flame is round like the flames that just flicker and don't move. Although this flame does move (a little), it's not as realistic, and one doesn't have to be very close to notice that it's not real. It has a lot of functions, which are nice, like adjusting the brightness, movement of the flame, and timer for 2-12 hours in 2 hour increments. It also has two light functions, top flame only or an internal light in the center of the candle in addition to the top flame. I use the top flame only, as I don't think a real candle would glow through the center unless the flame was lower below the top surface of the candle. Since the flame is on the top, it doesn't make sense to me for the entire candle to glow from the inside. But that's just my opinion. The remote is nice, except you can't work the timer function without it, and I found it to be not very responsive at first. I turned the candle on using the switch on the bottom of the candle, then pressed the 6 hour button, and when I got up in the morning, the candle was still on. I tried it several times, standing right next to the candle at all times, and still no timer. Finally, and I don't know how, it worked, and has been working ever since. I haven't used it long enough to know how efficient it is on battery life, but using C cells, it should last a good long time. I'll update later if I find out otherwise. All in all, it's not bad, better than the flames that just flicker. But at this price point, I think it should look more realistic.

Nice, lifelike (from afar!) candle

TL/DR: Nice, lifelike (from afar!) candle Pros: o Flame 'flickers,' mimicking a real flame o Remote seems responsive o Has lots of different options (brightness, timer, etc.) Cons: o None at time of review This is probably the coolest and most realistic fake candle I've owned so far. It takes 'C' batteries (which we don't often use but thankfully had some on hand), comes with a remote that allows you to set a timer, change the brightness, or just turn it on and off. The flame itself is not unlike another, cheaper option I have except that it 'wiggles,' so from afar it looks like it's flickering. Up close it fools no one, but at this price point, that'd be a tall order. So far the remote has been responsive and because it sits high on our fireplace mantle, the remote is a *must.* Overall, I like it quite a bit. -------- I'm honored to be included in the Amazon Vine program, and I work really hard to make these reviews and videos helpful. I put in a lot of effort to try to help you learn the most important facts about the product. Good luck with your decision, and if you do decide to buy the product, I hope the things you find in this review make it easier to use.

Pretty

But… The remote isn’t very responsive. You have to press the buttons several times to get it to change, and I was sitting about 3 feet away. But you NEED the remote to set the flicker and timers. Also, I had to put the batteries in opposite of the printed guide and the illustration on the candle to get it to work. I had to put the positive side up on the left and negative side down on the right, from the perspective of the illustration and battery compartment lid. It has a neat feature with an internal light that can also flicker. Many of my candles already do this in a more subtle way but you can’t turn it totally off like you can with this. I think that’s fun. The flame waves a little more than I like, and with the flicker set on high, it’s like a it’s in a wind storm. ???? Otherwise it’s a great wax flameless candle. I’m glad I had some C batteries from cat toy to be able to use it right away! I’m going to need a few more in other sizes!

Very pretty candle. The remote works well, and gives you lots of options for brightness, timer etc. The flame is very ???? realistic, especially from a bit of a distance…up close it’s easier to see up close that it isn’t a real candle, but it looks pretty on it’s own or in a lantern. Takes 2 C batteries, which I like…anything smaller than C batteries just don’t last long at all…you’ll get the most bang for your buck when you use a candle taking C or D batteries. Would make a great hostess and/or housewarming type gift. ???????????????? ????️
