Definitely a must have

I really like this meter. Simple to use, easy readout and a loud continuity tone. It is durable and the connectors are tight. The probes are what I would expect on a quality meter. Nothing cheap on it.

Almost unusable for me

I'm using the meter to read small voltages and currents (I'm learning to make IoT devices). I rarely get a reading from the meter at all, but when I do it seems very accurate. When testing voltages in 22 gauge wires, I have to wrap the wire around the leads in order to get a reading. Simply making contact with the ends of the wire doesn't do the trick. I don't get any resistance measurements at all most of the time, again unless I'm able to wrap the component/resistor I'm measuring around the meter's leads. I reached out to their support more than a week ago with no response. I'll be returning mine

Great meter and accurate if you are patient

Very good meter... My only gripe is that sometimes it takes a few seconds to hone in on the accurate voltage but it could very well be my impatience... I'm not well-known for patience.

It takes a brief moment for it to start to register voltage but once it does it's always accurate I use it everyday for work

This is a pretty nice meter, works well for fire alarm trouble shooting, hopefully it will be my last, 5 yrs until retirement!

Great meter

Been using it for a few weeks now. Seems to be very accurate, well built and the backlighting works great for when I'm under a rig in my dark shop. Highly recommend this meter, as good if not better then the Snap-off or Mac tools equivalent that usually cost 300$ or more

Muy bueno

Muy buen multímetro, trae bordado el nombre de la marca en la funda. Se ve de exelente calidad. Para checar la continuidad y que suene tiene que medir algo. Si juntan nada más las puntas no suena o suena al azar como en el vídeo de ger, (lo esplica en el manual) lo bueno que ya está estudiando electronica. Yo medi un cable número eléctrico # 12 y sonó todas las veces que revise la continuidad. Los parámetros de medición se iluminan en la noche obvio también la pantalla. Me encantó en todos los sentidos.

* Actualizado (El mejor multímetro que he tenido)

The media could not be loaded. El primer multimetro que tube fue uno análogo de baquelita, que mi papá me compro cuando yo tenia 14 o 15 años. No recuerdo que fue de el, pero me sirvió mucho para iniciarme an la electronica y electricidad. De adulto me hice de uno digital, lo que me pareció un avance increíble, tener una pantalla de cuarzo y mediciones muy exactas. No supe hasta hace poco que la nueva tecnología con mediciones automáticas, en las que ya no es necesario seleccionar los supuestos valores con riesgo a una equivocación que pueden quemar tu multímetro, así que me compre este. Algo que me pasaba era dejar prendido el multimetro y cuando lo necesitaba resultaba que no tenia batería. Con este multimetro no pasa eso (apagado automático) El termometro, aunque no lo uso tanto, lo cheque por curiosidad con otros 2 termómetros de mercurio y me di cuenta que medía igual que uno de ellos y el otro variaba 2 grados y que ya no voy a usar. Por lo tanto es muy exacta la medición de temperatura con este multimetro La pantalla se ilumina, lo que no hacían los otros que tuve. Tiene una luz que sirve como lampara en caso necesario. Su cubierta de hule lo hace resistente ademas de resistir un poco al agua (en caso de lluvia pero yo no lo sumergiría) Tiene una base de apoyo para posición vertical, ademas de una cinta con imán, para colgarlo sobre superficies metálicas. Mi antiguo Multímetro digital, le llego la hora de irse al cajon de los recuerdos. El mejor multimetro que he tenido. Vale lo que cuesta y mas. * En estos últimos años, he estudiado y aprendido mucho de electrónica. Compre un multímetro de alta gama (FLUKE), así como una pinza amperimetrica UNI-T y otro multímetro económico para pruebas. Me di cuenta que el multímetro Southwire es muy lento en mediciones de continuidad y capacitancia. (dejo un video). Sin embargo, tiene excelente protecciones de seguridad. Es robusto y resistente a golpes. Internamente, cuenta con fusibles de excelente calidad. Creo que esta mas enfocado para trabajos de electricidad que de electrónica.
