Comfortable accurate fit for lap swimming

I bought these to get back in to swimming. The fit is accurate - XL I am 6’3”, 219. Normally a 36” 34” pant. I recall speedo is good and long lasting with repeated chlorine pool cycles even with rinsing out/air drying after each use. They do dry quickly. I bought these exclusively for lap swimming/Exercising.

Glad to see speedo has regained some quality control over sizing.

I used to use Speedos men's small as my basic summer shorts and swimming trunks. I have a 28-29 inch waist. about 5 years ago I tried to order new trunks and they were 6" larger than the previous pair. These are again approaching a true fit. The waist is 27" before stretcthing the elastic enough to hold them up on a 28 in waist. At 15-1/2 inches the leg is longer than I like buy still stylish. The crotch is 11-1/2 inches and the liner gives plenty of room. They have two front pockets and one back pocket. The material is quick dry and washes clean without attracting lint. Good purchase.

Best Trunks for Old Men

I join all the other old men who extol these trunks. I love them because they are short--none of this young kid surfer knee length stuff for me. If you want trunks that you can wear while you swim your excruciatingly slow laps at the Y, these are the ones. I am pretty thin, and the medium is just right for me. If you're on the stocky side of a 34 inch waist, I'm not sure these would fit. I have skinny legs, so the trunks are quite "bloomery" for me. They catch on my legs when I'm doing the breast stroke, but not too badly. I have an older (1990s) pair of Speedo trunks, which are lighter weight, and which I prefer. But, alas, they are no longer available for sale. I feel like I need to buy several pairs of these to last the rest of my life. I fear that future fashion might make short trunks completely obsolete, and I want to have a pair to wear when I set a master's record for 100-105 (35 years from now)!

What I was looking for.

I was looking for a pair of swim trunks for my fat ass to swim in and have the flexabilty to kick without sporting spandex and looking a little too self confident. I wear a 38-42 pant size, bought an XL and they fit just fine. I have big legs. These shorts don't have pockets or a pretty bow to tie for looks on the outside. They go down mid thigh and I need to hike them when stretching my inner thigh. For swimming they have been great. The shorts tie and the string is on the inside, they don't restrict my movement, and they create a bit of drag. I don't have any issues with the inner lining, I wear spandex underneath. These are swim trunks so I have yet to wash them. Putting them in the spin then then hanging them up overnight is more than enough to keep them in serviceable.

Perfect Pair of Shorts

These shorts were exactly what I was looking for. Something lightweight that could double as a casual pair of shorts when it's hot & as a bathing suit. The length is awesome especially because I will be doing lots of hiking so the fabric won't get in the way. The inner liner does not irritate my sensitive skin & it hides the package perfectly (I can jump / run without anything showing). The size fits great (I'm 30/30 & ordered a small). I assume the wrinkles will go away once it gets wet.

Size runs small for these thin shorts but the price is right.

Very thin material not sure how it would hold up to a water slide and size runs small so order a size up. Not bad for the price and should be great under a wetsuit. I’m 5’10” 168lbs and 33 waist is loose but a medium is a little snug.

Yes but be careful to size

I am an athlete with things, I had a problem walking around like I have two rings in the middle of my thighs so consider a 1 size up. Recommend it? Heaven yeah.
