Better than a competing model by a brand that starts with "S"
Prior to this one, I was using a competitor's version which seemed to wear out quickly with just moderate use. These insoles are more pricey but they have held up well after a test period of normal day-to-day use followed by weekends of yard work + exercise.

Incredible insert

The best for your feet
I sold these yrs ago in the early 90s at foot locker. I wore them throughout my career in the marines and in the Iraq war! With every new boot I buy, I purchase spenco!

Just doesn't do the job long enough for me at least....
Ok so first off this is just my .02 and I have some sort of very bad feet I guess. Quality/Construction/fit and such are very good so no problems there. My personal problem with them (and I realize this sort of product is VERY subject to personal factors) is that the relief they provide just Does Not Last... I work 9 hours a day on horrible concrete floors and it's a HUGE problem for me. The inserts provide "Temporary" relief at best. I can get through a day/night but then have to switch back to the normal inserts in a brand new pair of NB shoes that came highly reviewed/recommended. I have and continue to try this and that and the other thing, nothing seems to help. I even have a set of hard personalized/molded (pretty costly at the time) arch inserts that also just do NOT work well or long enough. Like I said, I know it's my feet and some sort of problem that I just can't throw more $$$ at at the moment. The product seems well constructed as I said and worth the price,,,, IF THEY WORK FOR YOU! Me? I continue to look for some sort of solution and hobble along at the end of the day...

Best insoles but not quite as good as they used to be.
I've been wearing Spenco insoles since the mid-late 1980's, wore them in the military both in boots and running shoes. The original ones were made of much tougher material, they literally lasted for years and thousands of miles. My local shoe store usually carries these, and I put a set in every pair of shoes that I buy, as soon as I get them home. I probably have 10 pair now. They were recently out of stock so I bought them here. I walk 8-12 miles a night for work, then I run 3-4 miles 4 times a week, so I'm pretty hard on them. They hold up for close to a year in boots, but only a couple months in my running shoes. Still much longer than the "big S" brand and any other I've tried. The density of the material allows them to provide cushioning without immediately collapsing, I don't like feeling like I have pillows on my feet, if you do, these probably aren't for you. But if you put some miles and hours in on hard surfaces, you'll appreciate them. Just wish they lasted a little longer for the price.

So comfy
I'd never really bought padded insoles like these before so I wasn't sure what to expect. I'd used odor-eaters before, but those things are super thin and don't really add comfort. These, on the other hand, changed the comfort level of my shoes considerably. I love them. Every step I take I feel the extra padding and support. They also solved a little problem I had where my shoes were a bit too loose. Previously I had to make a point of wearing thicker socks with them or they would always feel about half a size too big. (They are chelsea boots so they had no laces to tighten) But now they are much more snug (in a good way). One warning I will give people before buying these is this. Make sure your shoes have some room in them to tighten up a bit. If your shoe is already tight, adding these might not be a good idea.

Great but could use improvement
Got these for my dad's walking shoes. He goes walking in the woods with the dogs, sometimes for hours at a time. These seem to provide the most forefoot support among all the insoles I have been looking on this site. Still, my dad said he wishes the padding to the forefoot and toes was thicker and the heel less so.

Good quality, but...
These insoles seem well made and are probably good for your feet. Typically excellent Spenco quality. BUT, you'd better have a lot of room in your shoes because these insoles take up a lot of room, even with original insoles removed. I ordered 4 different types of insoles to try in my various shoes and this is the only pair I am having difficulty using in any of my shoes. That is to say, it looks like I will probably not be able to use them.

The arch is to high like to fined this product with no arch support. The discreption on amazon says free returns even if trimmed .be aware there are no returns. False advertising.when contact amazon.the agent.whould not answer.me
