For lovers of Golden Age comics

I bought this because, besides being a jigsaw puzzle addict, I enjoy looking at old comics from the pre-Code era (before the end of 1954). These are obviously reproductions of old covers from 1945-1954 (pretty much titles only). Images of these covers are out of copyright (note no Marvel/Atlas or DC titles) and easily available on the internet. The artist has started with these images, then darkend the edges and corners to attempt to give them a more 3-D image, but in the process has helped obscure some of the details. Plus, of course, he has painted human figures to supplement these images. While I would like to see brighter covers, the dearth of jigsaws featuring old comic/pulp images makes me treasure this one and hope for more.

Totally Enjoyed!!

Loved it!! Finished in couple days. I've been doing puzzles for many years, especially Springbok. This one appeared too not be like Springbok. Pieces didn't stay put. Was disappointing since I had purchased one in a long time.

Rough Cut, Poorly Fitted

This company emphasizes their 'unique' shapes, and they are unique. However, they are cut so roughly, and so many do not fit together (they are more seated next to each other), that the puzzle is very loose. Also, so many pieces were already bent (perhaps when the puzzle was mechanically separated and boxed) that it had the look of a used puzzle. All pieces were present, and no dust to speak of.

No missing pieces!

This is the third jigsaw puzzle I've ordered from Amazon but the first one that wasn't missing a piece. All of the pieces fit smoothly too. The product also comes with a guarantee. So from now on, I get only Springbok jigsaw puzzles.

Good quality and all the pieces!

This was a great puzzle to put together. Nice quality and size of pieces. Will be purchasing more Springbok puzzles.

Challenging

I enjoyed this puzzle. It was pretty challenging. Some of the colors on the pieces are not the same as on the box.

Poor quality

Pieces do not fit together easily, and were not cut well. Lots of fuzzy bits around each piece. The pieces were very large and do not fit on a standard 1,000 piece puzzle board, and the box was full of dust and fuzz. Picture looks way clearer online than it does in reality.

Fun to do

Not too easy, but not too hard either. Enough different types of pieces to group together and work in different sections. Enjoyed putting together memories of old comic books from my parent's era.
