Not for hyper 10 year olds
Grandson loved it! Unfortunately he over pumped it and a part separated from the pumper and could not be retrieved.

Junk
We assembled the water car per the instructions, pumped it up A LOT, and it barely moved.

Fun water kit
I got this for my 10-year-old daughter and she loves it. she likes building the different types but always goes back to the car and water gun. She can follow the directions well and it keeps her involved for a couple hours. This is great for her to learn to follow instructions, and to learn critical thinking.

Great Toy!
We've had many STEM toys like this one, only this one is much better quality and more fun than 90% of those other ones. The directions are complete, and all the parts were included. My 11 year old son was able to use the directions to complete all the builds himself. There was zero frustration for once. He's enjoyed taking it apart and building one of the other options, too. I love how engaged he is. I let him use it on our tile floor this week because it's gotten too cold to use it on our driveway. It was messy, but not terrible. He used our mop to clean up the water every once in awhile. This is a great toy! I love how it can be used to build different things. I'd say it would be perfect for a kid ages 5 (with adult or older sibling help), but most kids ages 8 and up and can probably do it on their own. This would make a great gift! It all breaks down so you can stick it back in the original box, too. The box isn't very big, either. Such good quality compared to other similar kits we've gotten.. Highly recommend!

STEM
STEM elements are good. This has lots of opportunities to explore the principles of physics. Unfortunately, the results of the projects is underwhelming. Learning does indeed take place but kids are disappointed in the results. It opened the door for further discussion about how to implement changes but that is not what people are paying for. So I appreciate the learning value but it is not what it should be at this price point.

Great STEM project. Leaky product
This was a great STEM project to teach my child a bit about water power. One thing that he learned a bit TOO well is that ... water projects can leak and be very messy, particularly when one of the parts has a crack in it. A bit of tape helped fix that problem enough to make it work, duct tape saved the day, and my child learned an unintended lesson about improvising. Other than that hiccup, it was a great project for my child. I'd get this again, but I'd carefully inspect the components first to make sure there aren't any issues before assembling it next time.

Slow boat, start with the car
Pros: STEM fun Easy enough to assemble Cons: Slow (only tried the boat) My daughter built the boat and tried it out in our pool. The vehicle barely moved. I thought maybe she did something wrong, but I pumped it up and the results were only mildly better. It went about a foot or two in our pool, but not even fast. She and I were too disappointed to try the car, but I can see from some videos that the car is faster.

Good for older kids
This is a fun kit, but is a little difficult for early elementary kids to put together. With parent help, however, it is fine. The directions are not overly clear, but again, an adult with experience putting together diy furniture would have no problem. The water car did, indeed, work.
