family friendly game
This is a nice game but I found it a little confusing to understand at first and to explain to others. Once you figure it out it is fun for a variety of ages. It is also very portable to take on the go.

A little complicated to explain the rules, easier to just play.
So I had to read then reread the rules out loud and do a stumble trial run before our players got the hang of it. The first couple turns are kinda silly, "I know thats not the banana, I watched you pick up the guitar grandma" then things start moving quicker, people start getting comfortable and the next thing you know, you're questioning reality as you find out that "cupcake" you knew was coming your way was actually headphones. Haha good times. I would give five stars but I feel like the instructions could be more clear. It really was a lot of fun but I still question if we were playing it as intended or made up our own version along the way.

Fun game for kids
This is a fun memory card game for kids that involves bluffing and a lot of giggling. While my family wouldn't play this everyday, it's small and easy to transport when we're traveling and want something to play in the hotel at night. The price is good too for a family-friendly game.

Hope your memory is good!
We like to play games with our two friends. Normally we play Cards Against Humanity but if its before their kids' bedtime we play more ... child-appropriate games, so I'm always on the lookout for fun games that any age can enjoy being around. Took a chance on this and it's great! The included instructions show a great example hand, but I have difficulty learning a game solely through written instructions so I found it easier to learn while playing. It involves getting cards of "gifts", examples being a cactus, a pillow, a traffic cone, a hat, etc, presenting them to the group, then placing them face down in front of you. As you get new gifts, you pass old gifts to your fellow players by stating "here is a nice guitar for you." The receiving player can either accept it "Thanks for the guitar lol" or, if they've been paying attention to the order of the face-down cards in front of the players, they may say "That's not a guitar!" At that point, the card is flipped over. If its not a guitar, the giving player gets a penalty point, but if it *is* a guitar, the receiving player gets a penalty point. The game ends when a player gets a total of three penalty points. Whichever player has the least amount of penalty points is the winnder So, its a bit of 3 card monte and the old memory game, with the complication that the giving player might not remember whats on their own cards, so they have to bluff they know what the card is when giving. It feels a little complicated at first, but once you get the hang of it it's really quite fun and challenging! Brush up on those memory palace skills, you're gonna need them.

fun for the whole family
"That's Not A Hat" is a fun and engaging party game that combines elements of bluffing and memory to create a unique and exciting gaming experience. The game is easy to learn and perfect for players of all ages and skill levels. The objective of the game is simple - players take turns drawing cards and trying to bluff their opponents by describing the object on the card without actually saying its name. The other players must then try to guess the object based on the clues given, and if they're successful, they earn points. One of the best things about "That's Not A Hat" is the variety of cards and objects included in the game. From everyday household items to more obscure and unusual objects, there's always a new challenge to keep players on their toes. The game also includes special action cards that add an extra layer of excitement and unpredictability to the gameplay. Another great feature of the game is its portability. The compact size of the box makes it easy to bring along to parties, family gatherings, or any other social event. It's also a great way to break the ice and get people laughing and having fun. Overall, "That's Not A Hat" is a fantastic party game that offers hours of entertainment and laughs for players of all ages. Whether you're a seasoned gamer or a casual player, you're sure to have a blast bluffing and guessing your way to victory.

Great memory game
This is a fun game! I played with my 7 and 10 year old. The instructions seem a little confusing at first but it's actually very straightforward to play. A person draws a card then you all swap around upsidedown cards until somebody goofs remembering which is which. With our 3 player game it got tricky pretty quickly, I guess we need to work on our memories! There was lots of giggling as we all struggled to guess what cards we were passing and laughs when we were revealed right or wrong. The rounds go pretty quickly and we really enjoyed it, playing multiple times straight out of the box. This will be a frequent for us, I can tell!

Unique game focused on your memory skills.
This is a challenging memory game for ages 8 and above. It can also be a game for adults, as it gets quite challenging with more than 2 players. The basic flow of the game is that players get cards with items on them, and you are supposed to pass your items to other players. You have to play close attention in the game, as the goal is to try to remember what items each player has on their cards. You aren't allowed to look at your own cards more than once, so you need to bluff your way through it if you forget. I would say bluffing is a minor part of the game, compared to the memorization. My 9 year old found the game difficult when playing with adults. But it's an interesting way to sharpen your memory. It's not the best party game, but it is unique. The box is also compact, which makes it easy to pack for trips.

Fun portable family game
The game is fairly easy to learn. It’s billed for ages 8 and up, but it may be easier for kids that are a little older. We plan on bringing the game along with us on our summer vacation for a fun little game that we can play on a rainy day or to pass the time. The game itself isn’t much larger than a regular deck of cards, so its easy to pack it and bring along. If you have kids that have good memory skills - be prepared for them to do really well which makes this a fun game that all ages can play.

Properly nuts
This game is hilarious. Played this at the end of a night of board games and haven't laughed so much in a long time. In this game each player gets an card featuring an item. The items are pretty random stuff like surfboards, dogs, walking sticks, &c. At the start of the game you all start with your card face up, so everyone can see what everyone has. Then the start player flips their card over and slides it in the direction of the arrow on the card back saying "here's a lovely teapot" or whatever the item happens to be. The receiving player flips their original card over and slides that in the direction of the arrow. Play continues like this and soon you're passing around face down cards only. If you think the card you receive doesn't have what the person claims it to be then you can challenge it by saying "that's not a boot" (for example). If you're right, it's not a boot, then the lying/mistaken player gets the card face up as a negative point. If you're wrong and it is as they claim, then you get it instead. First play to fail three times loses This all sounds very easy: there are only as many cards in play as players plus an extra one, so it should be easy to remember, right? But there's a massive bluffing aspect. If you can't remember what a card is, you can confidently claim it's one of the cards you do remember and the receiving player quite often loses confidence in their own memory. Soon the bluff becomes the truth, and everyone's laughing in hysterics when the card everyone thought was a ball for ages is actually an apple. Great for a few laughs over some beers or in the early hours after a long day of heavy gaming.
