Good mirror, light could be improved

Great mirror, super clear and powerful, I like that the suction cups slide in. Minus 1 star because the light could be more powerful and it flickers sometimes so I have to tap on the unit to get it back to full brightness.

Junk. Worked one time

The light on this worked one time and then broke. Plus the magnification isn’t good. Buy the one without the light.

Don't like the light

Bought this to replace a similar mirror that had a light bulb attached in a separate compartment that could be removed for battery replacement. This mirror has the light bulb built in to the mirror unit and it's a weird bluish color led bulb that is not angled correctly to illuminate those pesky facial hairs.

great for applying eye makeup

I lived out of country this year and could not take my vanity mirror with me. I am of the age to need reading glasses so a magnifying mirror is a great help in applying makeup. I wore makeup daily while abroad so as not to be a sloppy American. Pro: easy to hold in one hand while working on eyes good amount of magnification light not necessary if good lighting in room battery operated so no power adaptor/converter necessary for overseas use good price on Amazon vs same product in UK stores Con: takes a little getting used to how to hold while applying mascara but soon easy to hold and apply at same time suction cup not all that strong but not a factor in the way I came to use it

Traveling Make Up Mirror

I bought this mirror to use at the gym, after I shower, to put on make-up if I have to go someplace directly. The light is okay, and there's a little distortion, but not too much. It varies according to how close I am to the mirror, so you have to adjust your position. I wish it had a little stand like on a table top picture frame so I could stand it on the counter while using two hands to apply eye make-up. But, as a person who wears glasses, I needed something that magnifies, and the size is convenient to just keep in my gym bag.

It does exactly what I wanted it to do

If, like me, you are a lady of a certain age who would rather die than be seen in public with a stray whisker then this little beauty is a god send. The suckers allow it to be attached to another mirror or other service. The real beauty of it is that it can be used either way up so whether you need to see your brows or your chin the level of light it gives is perfect. Personally I find that it takes a moment or two for my vision to adjust to focus properly to that level of magnification but that says more about my eyes than the product. For the price it's an excellent buy.

Poor light

I have had several tweezerman lighted mirrors before for home and travelling and they have excellent light. The problem was that the illuminated part was prone to break up. I thought this design would solve the problem as there isn’t a separate part but the light is very poor I’ve gone back to my old one with new batteries and glued the top back on.

Well made great little mirror perfect for applying eye makeup

I bought this mirror because I was looking for something to use when away from home for tweezing and eye makeup application. I have been finding it difficult to tweeze my eyebrows and apply mascara for some time due to failing eye sight after turning 40! Having read the reviews before purchasing I thought I'd give it a try. The mirror feels well made and mine did not arrive with twisted 'suckers' on the back, luckily. The little light is an absolute bonus. It took a couple of tries to judge the correct distance for use, and if, like me, you are looking to use it for putting on makeup, so long as you don't want to see your whole face in one go - it's brilliant. I guess if I have to find any bad points - it is possibly a little pricey for a handbag/washbag mirror, and it took a few goes before I felt I was working at the best distance for the best results (for me about 4 inches away from my face). Today I applied foundation and used the mirror to check that it was all blended in properly. As other reviewers have said - you will see imperfections that you don't normally see - but that's not a bad thing as you have a chance to conceal them tidily! I would recommend this mirror to others who, like me, are struggling to see what they are doing when applying makeup and tweezing eyebrows.

Magnifying mirror with light a roaring success!

I was wary due to some reviews, however within minutes of opening it my mother was squeeling " I did not realise I had so many whiskers" and within half an hour they were gone! Yes the button is small and low profile so a tad fiddly to press, but if you are holding a pair of tweezers or a makeup brush in your other hand then I can't see what the problem is, just use that to poke the button on and off. My mum could do it with her fingernail and she is 78. It stops the button being accidentally pressed and battery run down I assume. The mirror is clear and magnifies perfectly, the light is surprisingly bright. There is a plastic strip which needs to be removed in order for the batteries to engage, I almost missed it and thought the light did not work, but it was tucked into the side. I am very happy and impressed so about to order two more for my hairy friends!

Would be perfect if the suction pads are improved

Nice design, good angle of the mini light, perfect size for it's purpose. Does what it says on the description. The reason it doesn't get full stars is that despite my 3 attempts at sticking it to the bathroom mirror, it keeps coming off. I have applied it after cleaning and made sure to keep it pressed for long against a dry and clean mirror, but it just doesn't stay attached very long. It has got three suction pads, and I thought even if one is faulty, the other two should hold on. But that doesn't happen and it has been attached fourth time as the last attempt before I give up and use it for something else. The good learning from these drops is that despite falling from a height of 2 feet into a porcelain sink, there is no crack in mirror or casing. So the build of the product is quite durable.
