Arrived broken, it's a very very flimsy trunk. Decorative only, even if it wasn't broken.

Latch was broken in several places. Screws missing from the hinges. Some of the broken parts had been placed in the trunk, so someone clearly noticed the problem and shipped it anyhow. There is a little note that asks you not to give them bad reviews if it's broken, but to reach out to them directly - so I assume this isn't the first time. (I probably would have done that, if I hadn't found the broken parts 'inside' the trunk, from an outside broken latch, meaning someone saw it was broken, put the parts into the trunk, then wrapped it in bubble wrap and sent it to me anyhow.) Glad we have Amazon to do the return - and Amazon did make it easy to do. As a decorative piece it's fine, and it is light weight. It looks pretty and as pictured. It's just the hardware (latch, hinges) that are barely more sturdy than tin foil. I needed the top to stay connected to the body, and for it to lock.

Opens easily for storage

The chest is really attractive and it is of good quality. I particularly like that it is lined with fabric. I store my kitchen towels in it and being lined keeps me from scratching my hands when retrieving them. Another great feature is that it doesn’t require any assembly…..My husband really really liked that! I am very happy with this purchase.

Darned great trunk

So far we couldn’t be more happy with this trunk. It does not look cheap it’s a great statement piece it’s also lined. I’m just hoping that the quality lasts. It appears to be well-made though.

Cheap and arrived broken on 3 orders

Don't buy this chest- it's cheap,. made out of particle board. I ordered 3 and 2 were damaged beyond repair. The other one we had to glue and screw together because we were desperate! Junk!

It looks sturdy and a bit antique . I keep 2 blankets and a pillow inside. Just enough space. I put it under my coffee table where it fits perfectly A good purchase. .
