Great for plants, big and bulky for cute lamp base
I have a lot of indoor plants, and we got these while temporary staying in a small rental that didn't have much natural lighting. I ordered them based on recommendations I saw online, and I ordered a floor lamp that I thought was cute and could be used with these or regular bulbs in the future. My plants seem to be responding well to these bulbs. My only complaint is how large and bulky they are. They do not look normal at all in the lamp base that we got, and it makes it very heavy where the globe is for the light. The lamp bases are weighted but I still have to make sure that this is sitting very steady so it doesn't tip over because the bulb is so heavy. They definitely do not look like I wanted him to, but for the time being there getting the job done and providing light for the plants. I might would order again, but just be mindful of what it would look like depending on what light fixture you're putting it in.

just got it
i just got it this morning so i cant comment on its longevity but it is bright and i assume its efficient since its LED. i got the par38 bulb and this thing weighs a metric ton. i cant even use it with my "clamp lamp" without without the lamps silver reflector sagging against the clamp. i will investigate using a swing arm lamp but if i cant get it to work i will have to return it.

No dishonest specs
I think I didn't actually need a new bulb as it turns out. My Black Knight was developing green in the new center growth but I believe it was actually just being blocked by one of my taller Pachyveria. Regardless I don't have a lot of space to create a strong or efficient light set up for my table of succulents and I learned in my first go around that most single bulbs or wands on Amazon seem to be advertised unfaithfully to their real life performance. There's only so much a single bulb under $40 and under 50w can output so your expectations must be realistic for what can be achieved in this range. There's a lot of fancy looking multi-colored LEDs claiming extremely high PPFD beyond their capabilities. This bulb claims PPF 50 with no PPFD claim, which is the more important measurement. At 6-12 inches it seems to have a reasonably good PPFD based on the condition of my succulents after 3ish weeks. I am running it for ~14 hours a day because I get little to no natural sunlight in my house or even in my yard for that matter. My last bulb also had no PPFD measurement but advertised " about 1000umol @12" ". It was one of the pink/purple type LED supposedly optimized for non-vegetating plants. It kept my plants in decent color and not stretching but the coverage area wasn't great. This one so far seems to be a little more effective than that one was, possibly due to being full spectrum daylight. My Black Knight is looking a little more dark and all the green is gone, still nice and compact in the center, wish I thought about taking pictures before. Also the other bulb had a cooling fan while this one does not, so that's a big plus in my opinion. I got a new succulent in the mail that was poorly packaged and bent. I have it on the edge of the light area and it's beginning to stand up normally after being watered. I'm happy with the purchase, it works for my limited space and it's nicer to have the daylight color over the pink/purple. There's no outrageous claims for output beyond the wattage capabilities. Update 8/31/22 I'm struggling to find the right height for this one. I don't think it's actually any better the one I had before, which leaves me to be of the opinion that all bulbs in this similar price range probably have similar output. My variegated Platyphylla has turned from green with red stripes to almost solid red. But my most compact echeveria (some Laui hybrid) that has done the best for me so far has lost some of its form at a 8-12 inch height. The bent succ never corrected but I think that's because the shipper actually killed it, I'm not certain there was anything I could do in this case. But I do rotate all my succs on a regular basis and they aren't straightening up very well.

First grow light I don't regret
I bought these fully expecting the umol/DLIs to be wrong. They're not. As a result, I burned some of my plants. My calathea white fusion is rehabbing nicely. It's put of at least 8 (eight!!) new leaves since I got the light four days ago. You can see three that are still curled as well as a handful that haven't hardened off yet. The light was originally on for 14 hours about 2' away and then I had to move it 2 1/2' away and leave it on for 12 hours. That was still too much. It's now on for 8 hours and most of the plants are happy with it. If I had more space above, I'd keep experimenting, but they're on top of book shelf, so I'm limited with height. My orchid (Phalaenopsis), white fusion, and flamingo flower (anthurium scherzerianum) are quite happy with it. My peperomia ginny burned. My snow queen burned. My calathea rattlesnake burned. Some of my orchid burned, but it adjusted and is throwing out a new leaf and new roots. And my crispy wave fern is now a crispy brown fern. But ????‍♀️ learning curve. I put my beloved monstera cuttings under the other GE32 I bought and it's doing really well! It's never going to grow 8 leaves in 4 days, but it's pumping out lovely water roots! I'm hoping to transition it to high light so I can put it on my patio next summer and this light will 100% be able to do that. It matches - if not exceeds - the umol some parts of my porch get. One downside I've found is these don't cover the area that something like a Cammagrow would. For me, it only covers a 1' square space really well. Anything outside that is in low light. It works for where I wanted it, but I'm going to have to go with a wider beam in many other spots around my apartment. The other downside is you definately want these in corners where your vision is a bit blocked. Since you need these so high off the plants, you're going to end up with a lot of bright white light pollution from an overhead light and, for me, it'll give me a headache if I'm around it too much. Both of these bulbs ended up in my bedroom since I'm only in there when they're off. Overall, I'm really glad I grabbed these and I'm excited to see my plants thrive in winter for once. And when I go to start seeds in the spring, I'll likely grab some more. I had my LETTUCE seedlings (which are notoriously low light as far as veg goes) 6" under a Haus bright (massive regret) and they came out super leggy. I'm 10,000% sure they wouldn't be leggy with one of these beasts. Absolutely no buyers remorse with this light.

Awesome for general purpose lighting
GE's "daylight" spectrum bulbs aren't great, so I use these grow lights as for my regular lighing, and it feels very close to sunlight. They can't be dimmed, so I still use the GE daylight bulbs on my dimmers, but these Balanced Spectrum grow bulbs are in every lamp I have. It feels much better than any typical bulb I've used, incandescent or LED.

Great product
I haven’t had this for very long, but I feel a lot better knowing that my expensive houseplant now has some supplemental light as we enter into shorter days. I’ve read multiple reviews on the GE grow lights and all positive. It is heavier than a standard light but I had no issues hanging it.

Funcional y efectivo.
