PRODUKTBESCHREIBUNG Das Watts Premier RO Pure Plus Umkehrosmose-Wasserfilter-Ersatzset bietet einen vollständigen Ersatzvorrat an Filtern für Ihre RO Pure- und Pure Plus-Umkehrosmosesysteme. Der VOC-Nachkohlefilter (WP105381) ist ein Premium-Kohleblockfilter mit hoher Kapazität, der speziell für die Reduzierung von VOCs wie MTBE, Atrazin, Benzol, 2,4-D und Lindan entwickelt wurde. Warum einen VOC-Filter verwenden? Es wird geschätzt, dass VOCs in einem Fünftel der Wasserversorgung des Landes vorhanden sind. Diese Wasserverunreinigungen können aus verschiedenen Quellen in das Grundwasser gelangen, unter anderem durch örtliche Benzin- oder Ölverschmutzungen, undichte unterirdische Kraftstofftanks, Klärgrubenreiniger und Chemikalien, die in der Trockenreinigungsindustrie verwendet werden. They Work
Installed easily into the system. Once flushed my water tastes just fine. These are the exact replacement units for my system so I did not expect any problems. After installation you have to flush the storage tank three times. It takes two to three hours to refill my storage tank so the process is tedious, be patient and read the directions! I suggest filling a container with filtered water before you start, that way there is some on hand. My directions suggested taking this time to check the pressure in the storage tank. For my system it should be 5 to 7 PSI in the tank. The pressure was low so I "carefully" pumped it up at the end of a drain cycle. It will push any remaining water out of the tank so you may have to pressurize several times. The tank MUST be empty for the final pressurization. I have much better flow now that I did that. One other thing, if your system is hooked up to your ice maker, isolate the ice maker before flushing the tanks 3 times. If you don't do this then you will need to flush the line going to the icemaker. The reason for knocking off one star is the price. I feel that the price could be a little more reasonable.

Convenient, Expensive
I love my Watts Premier R/O. It actually works out to be some pretty expensive water. I always take my home water with me wherever I go because it is my favorite taste. That said, I’m not convinced I’m doing our planet much better than if I just drink water bottles. I would really like it if Watts Could make these filters with a thinner plastic. The plastic is so thick and heavy. I do, of course, dispose of them into my recycling but do any of us really know if the items we put in there is actually ever recycled? And then I’ve heard it said that for every 1 gallon of water that I dispense, another 4 gallons is wasted in the process. So there’s that. I can’t disappear off the planet and I can’t live without water but none of us who live in a city should ever drink our tapwater! The thought makes me shudder! To sum it up here are the words that I would use: Delicious, convenient, easy to use, expensive, hard on our environment.

Great filter pack
I used to buy these from Costco, where we originally bought the RO system, but they stopped carrying them. Glad Amazon has them! This filter pack is a great price. I've been using RO water for drinking and cooking, and recently started adding it during water changes in my fish tank. I tested the water using my freshwater aquarium test kit and was due for new filters -- after replacing, everything tested where it should.

Absolutely flavorless!
The Watts Premier RO filter is a must for people with poor quality municipal water or well water. It removes all sorts of contaminants and water tastes like water should, absolutely flavorless and odorless. The wrap says made in Mexico, but the cartridges do not say where made. Once I toss the plastic wrap, then I may not remember later. I change the red and yellow cartridges every 6-9 months and the silver one every 12-16 months. The silver one replaces the blue carbon filter with additional VOC removal. The green cartridge (the most expensive) is not included in this pack, and this is the membrane that is replaced every 2-4 years. If I wait too long to change the filters, I definitely notice an ever so slight salty flavor in the water. I can't tell the difference when membrane needs changing. I imagine water flow just slows until the membrane tears altogether. Costco used to sell these at a much lower price, but they don't carry this brand anymore. My package came with some of the caps cracked. Overall good quality.

This system sure as heck makes for highly drinkable water, and I'm sure you save $ longterm over using a brita style filter. Certainly these and other RO systems, even cheap sink top filters save big bucks over buying bottled water. AND HELP ELIMINATE PLASTIC WASTE BIGTIME. Once installed the filters are very easy to remove and reinstall. They are costly, but you dont replace them all at once, the most costly the membrane every couple of years depending on use. When you get a complete system it comes with a blinky light to tell you when to change filters, I imagine that's just a timer. I use a ppm meter that came with a Zero pitcher system I use for travel (PS the zero is next best thing to RO plumbed system) it is a much better indicator, I usually get around very close PPM as compared to my near 500 PPM tap water. Kinda amazing really. Remember some of those minerals are good for you that are being filtered. Do your research on this. In general if you eat well you well you will get those essential minerals. This just out an article in National Geographic shows beer is equally hydrating as water. Milk is 50 percent more hydrating than tap water ( same as sports drinks) Drink your milk in moderation.

Great filters. Water tastes sweet and crisp.
Don't need a picture. Pictured as is. Best filters I've ever used. I've been using them for 15 years. I mean over 15 years. I replace them as recommended before. But after so many years of experience and to reduce waste, I now replace them when the water production stops. That usually means filter is clogged.
