Great shirt, inconsistent manufacturing.

This is a GREAT shirt. I purchase the same shirt a couple of months ago. When I find something I like, I occasionally purchase a "backup". That was the case here. It's a great-looking shirt. I wouldn't recommend this shirt for summer as it is a heavy fabric. The fabric is not wrinkle-resistant. It's not horrible to maintain. Ironing helps, but is not required. Just make sure to pull it out of the dryer immediately. My complaint won't affect most people. However, the design of this fabric is a different shade of blue and a very slightly different pattern. Both look great and had I not purchased a second, I would have never noticed. But side by side they are noticeably different.

This shirt fits and I’ve received compliments on the look. One thing to know is it’s a slim fit design, so if you are thinking of a size, go up a size.

Très belle qualité

Salut! Je viens de recevoir ma chemise Wrangler Rétro 2XTL plutôt que prévu (24Hrs) en avance. Après l’avoir essayé, je me suis vite rendue compte de la qualité du tissus et la grandeur parfaite. Je mesure 6’3’’ pèse entre 220-225 lbs et normalement du XTL est la bonne grandeur. Après avoir lu les commentaires j’ai décidé de prendre du 2XLT et c’est un Win. Très heureux de mon achat je recommande sans hésiter!!

Great shirt

Bought the black one as a present for someone when it was on for $35. Was worried about the "modern fit" being an issue but it wasn't - it is fitted but not snug so it actually fit them perfectly and wasn't baggy under the arms like many. And it looks great, almost kept it for myself.

Retro ain't what it used to be

Having held on to several original Wrangler shirts of this western style for about the last thirty years, I was seeking replacements. These "updated" ones are significantly different. I don't mind two cuff snaps instead of three, or even a markedly lighter material throughout as this is summer wear for me, although durability is suspect. But for a trim 200lb 6 foot man, wearing a large size, I find the fit tight across the shoulders and chest--even restrictively so. And there's the same evidence of skimping on material in the pockets. By my imprecise measurements, compared with the older style, the depth is reduced from 7" to 4", width from 4" to 3.5", with an estimated reduction in volume of 50%. As a result I can no longer securely fit my sunglasses (in one) and field notebook (in the other), as I have done for decades, rendering them of significantly less practical utility for me. Even a pet mouse might be crushed if the snaps were fastened. I seem to be a retro guy, and I shall hold on to my vintage Wranglers until they finally evaporate, no matter what tempting offers I may get for them. Wrangler, please wrangle some originals.
